I was stuck at the last puzzle...really couldn't think of a way to decipher.

I simply set the diagonals at the right positions and typed from A through Z, checked all possible combinations for French words for digits 0-9...luckily there were only 4 of them. And then, poor me, had to play the trial-error game on 4x3x2x1 = 24 combinations of the 4 digits.

i disagree kittygal... i think nancey should go to germany... there is so much she could do there! Every nancy drew game pretty much has SOMETHING to do with history, and if you ask me, germany would be the best history of all! I know some of the war was covered on this game... but still, I am a holocost buff (even if i may have spelled it wrong) and i live in germany now... there is are so many ENDLESS ways to go in a germany game that would make it FANTASTIC! not to mension the architecure!!!!

You have to type up the message from the book in the safe in Dieter's place onto the M380 (when the knobs are set to the right positions) to get the color combination.

I think it's because she wanted to make sure that no one could leave with the stolen paintings unless they knew the code, and therefore would be on the side of the resistance. It's like she was locking a door that led to another locked door. It was for extra security.
