its the sustain pedal, it holds down the notes, pianos also have a pedal to make the notes quiter and more stecato.

Also i dont know where you can find sheet music as i learnt this by ear

Hey, thanks lol

If you have an electric piano/keyboard you could record the left hand or right hand first and get used to what they sound like together, or you could break it down really slowly almost note by note and work out what goes with what.

If that doesnt help then practice makes perfect.. :P

it's really something you can't help at your stage. I'm in the same stage and, in truth, the only way to pick up speed is to practice it slowly first and then gradually pick up more speed. That's what I'm doing with one of my pieces now. Also, keep your hands close to the piano if you're learning a piece.

maybe just try going in one octave then down one note, i havent tried that yet so i dont know what it would sound like, just keep practising the pivot movement and try to get it really fluent and flowing =]
