The camaro on the right was slow on the light. Guy on the left had a great reaction time and beat him by a 1/2 second coming out on the light. Thats a name of the game in drag racing is beating that light and the other guy.
none of those cars are street legal that=y are running in the pro street both are stretched and have wings sticking out about 2.5 feet and both are insane tuned for the strip and can u not hear those motors in the cars, wheely bars parachutes and full slicks dont even try to tell me these are legal
wheely cars parachues and slicks does not make a car not street legal that simply makes it legal for the track. if you concider a car with a chute not street legal than no sub 10 sec car is street legal. which means the fastest street car runs 10 seconds flat.
these are full sheet metal cars they have slicks that are street elegal and also the both have large stales in them so im sure these are street legal...........and if u think they are then u dont kno very much
I belive they could be street legal but they probley dont go on the streets. And I highly doubt they ran drag radials on this pass especially with how well they hooked for the time.
they are not street legal they have full slicks and also the stole would be way to high i had a 3500 stoll in my blazer and i had a hard time getn anywhere without maken noise come on if u ahve ever seen a car like this even pull up to the light at the track then u no that these are not legal in anyway
You would get your car impounded if either of those cars ever saw a city street. Street legal means you can pass emissions and have all standard safety features of a manufactured car. This is a tin can with a rocket in it. Not street legal. Have the city schedule an inspection if you're that far in denial.
Well, don't let highway patrol catch you, especially without a muffler & catalytic converter. CARB laws restrict aftermarket performance modifications without CARB serials; which are limited to basic bolt-ons & 8psi boost kits. They can impound your car & pull it apart just for kicks, & hand you a substantial fine. It's mostly enforced federally, locally in about 5 states, and nationally within about 5 years.
but when you dont have to run NA engines on pump fuel, you can run a lot higher compression, alot of NA cars running on methanol run 14:1 - 17:1 compression which would be absolutely ludicrous on most engines
this is completely wrong. high compression doesnt suck more air into the cylinder, it just compresses the mixture more so you get more efficiency from the combustion.
a blower on the other hand forces air into the cylinder, wich generally means you need a lower compression ratio to fight detonation, but you more than make up for it with the extra air/fuel being used. do a little research.
well, you can spout off whatever whatever theoretical bullshit you want, but in the real world, high compression does not work the same as forced induction.
my 350 has 10:1 compression, thats a pretty decent ratio, it puts out about 355 horse and 410 torque, if you have a blown or turbo'd 350,with about 9 or 8.5:1 C.R. its going to put out much more, plain and simple.
Obviously they don't "work" the same, b00ts, you're missing the point here.
At the apex where 8.5:1 FI produces a higher TDC pressure and molecular concentration (important, since FI is much hotter & less potent) than the NA hammering 14 atmospheres, you're blowing 25+ PSI on methane. Again, the point: they are fundamentally equal.
That "theoretical bullshit" is the science that designed the engine in your car and the mods you did to it, smart guy.

dont have that much of a problem in the south. the police officers themselves love cars lolol.
get pulled just to check it out and complimentcha >:)

Touche, makes a difference when most the local fuzz own race cars. I guess legality is subject to the discretion of enforcement.

yeah... nobody would drive something like shown above on the road tho. They would pull u over and tow ur shit then slap u w/ a big fine.
Thats obviously not street legal LOL

b00ts000, let's explore some simplified college physics:
20psi FI on 8:1 at TDC yields the same concentration of oxygen per square inch as NA on 14:1 at TDC.
Particles are particles, b00ts. If you have ten million HO2 per inch, it doesn't matter how they get there.
If you still disagree, pick up a science book and give me a formula that proves otherwise.
