The mechanisms involved with producing pigmentation are strongly related to the mechanisms involved with testosterone production (I'm *not* saying he was feminine!) , and thus its entirely plausible that since testostrone is what produces the deepening in male voices, he might have had some metabolic fault there. Either way, he had a fucken magic voice so its not exactly a disability.
