  • Good luck with your service to your country. I hope that your deployment went well and that you returned safely.

  • For a somewhat different take on Mormon missionaries, make sure you watch the movie "Latter Days." You can find in on DVD at Amazon, TLA Video and Deep Discount DVD on-line. It can, also, be rented from Netflix.

  • Read the book of mormon, but also read about the history behind the formation of the church and its founders. Learn about the history of the united states at that time and specifically what was going on in the region where joseph smith grew up. This will enable a person to put the book of mormon into perspective, and also allow a person to make sense of joseph smiths actions and see why he was able to do what he did and discover what his true motivations were. Do not just read the book of mormon

This is an excellent comment, and I hope that everyone, including the maker of this video, will go ahead and do just what you recommend.

  • Straight forward, and no malice. Good job!

  • Amen!

  • reading the Book of Mormon is one way to find out about the truthfulness of the LDS church. I found it out by going on an LDS mission. It was there that I learned the truth about Mormonism.

  • wow.... in a few words he answered every question any investigator could have.

  • well said

  • thank you for your testimony and for being straitforward about it!! i also kno it's true and totally support all missionaries all over the world!

  • It really is true, after reading the Book of Mormon, I went back and read through the new testament again. It was just amazing how the Book of Mormon really is "another testament of Christ" Prayer is such an important thing, or else why would Christ pray to His father in Heaven? And if they were the same person why would He do so? There are countless scriptures about how Christ is seated on the right hand of the Father, what else could this mean other than that they are separate distinct beings.

  • AMEN !!!!!!!

  • Thank you Elder for your straightforward approach! You said it all in 26 seconds bro!

Stay strong, stay safe, and thank you for your service both in the church, and in the Air Force! :)

  • Good luck out there and be safe!!

  • The Book of mormon is really true! God has promess miracles and wonders before, during and after the second coming of Christ. the bible talks about a restoration of all things in the latter days. Now I've found the truth and what´s left to do now is to be rightous ´til the end. Arriba Elders!!!

  • I read it

    And found out

    : )

  • this video is awesome and totally true, and what he says is true, i am an elder also. And you have to pray also to know that it is true with a sincere heart. And you have to pray about it in a willing set of mind.

  • seems like a smart kid...

  • He didn't write it . . . he was a terrible writer and could barely word a coherent sentence on his own.

He translated the book from ancient plates that were written in a language he didn't understand, but through the gift of God and revelation was able to bring to light The Book of Mormon.

It's true what the missionaries say. All you have to do is read and then ask God to know if it's true or false. There's no reason to listen to anyone else. Just pray about it.

  • The 4 sources of Authority for the Mormons:

    1. The Pearl of Great Price

    2. The BIBLE

    3. The Book of Mormon

    4. Doctrine and Covenants

  • but the ones of them dancing and singing are funny. They should do more of both. YEAHHHHHH

  • Dude, you're right. Some anti-Mormons want objective proof of the BOM, but in the Bible, esp during the Ministry of Jesus, the early Christians were told that God would give the HG, "the comforter", which would teach and testify of truth. Followers of Christ also had the testimony of Jesus, and his apostles, miracles, etc-there was no archeo. evidence, which is what some anti's say say is the only way they'll believe in the BOM. God reveals truth the same way today, as he did in ancient times

  • Dude you are right...in the old and new testament, there are many many references made to the "holy ghost" as a means in which God comforts, teaches, & inspires men. Eg. Luke 12:12, John 14:16,26. Like it or not, folks need to realize this is God's methodology for confirming truth. Just as you can obtain spiritual confirmation about the Bible, the Gospel, the divinity of Christ, so to can a honest seeker of truth receive a confirmation from the Holy Ghost of the Book of Mormon.

  • I agree, and it seems like if they believe so much that it isn't true, why should they be so afraid to pray to God and ask him? Do they doubt his power and willingness to reveal all things to them? Do they not believe the words written in the Bible? I read the BOM, and I prayed about it, and I received an answer that it is a true book with true origins and has been given to us as another testament that Jesus is our messiah.
