ahh!!! lick things too!! uugghh.. when ppl aren't looking. but not like a light switch and stuff..more like books pens and pencils..and then i have to touch it to my nose!!
by the way, the behaviors you are portraying in this video are called compulsions, not tics. Just thought I'd let you know since most people get these two terms confused. His behaviors are voluntary, tics are involuntary. A compulsion makes you feel like you need to do something, but your body isn't physically forcing you to do it. A tic is physically forcing you to move a part of your body.
Might have overplayed the naivety a bit... "we wear them on our feet to protect them from soil," and, "she likes to keep it dry" while the kid seems to play along. He might be trying to repress some compulsions but he'd still have an opinion.
This is beautifully done. It should be viewed by every educator. There is so much we cannot understand unless we are told by those who know. Thank you.
I did an interpretation of this piece in high school. Simply genius.

I seriously doubt that someone with ocd would lick a public light switch, since most people with ocd are afraid of germs. lol. Good vid though.

This is interesting and nice to see something that's not making fun of TS/OCD.
I might be interesting to read the book.
I used to have to lick things, but only very, very occasionally. I was usually fabrics I'd have to lick.

It was really neat to see this chapter translated to film.
