Everyone's ragging on the Prius, but it seems like everyone's sort of missing the point.

They didn't enter this to win, they entered it to show it could be done. Everyone says "Prius is gay" or "Prius is stupid" but people aren't realizing that the Prius, although maybe not the fastest car in the world, or the highest performance, or even just a really good car, is still a step in the direction we need to go. Fuel's a finite resource, people. At least the hybrid makers are trying.

The point is, not all cars can rally. And this one is a definite. Guarantee THAT prius doesn't get 65 to the gallon. not to mention they are a terrible team. Those guys have no experience in professional rally. That's why this car will never win and will probably just get dropped.

I hope to god this thing gets banned from exsistance, and then again on the street. It's not environmentally friendly(Go lookup the images of Toyota's hybrid battery plant, if you must) and in that type of duty, hardly any more efficient. Jeremy Clarkson proved this, when he had the Stig take one around the Top Gear test course at full bore and he bested it by 2mpg(17.2 V 19.2) in a BMW M3. Just because there was never a factory backed mini cooper doesn't mean someone out there is doing that. Also, you can rally in a Corolla from the 80's. All you'd need to to is stiffen up the frame by weld spots and a roll cage and you'd be fine. I've also never seen a car split down the middle, with the exception of the BMW Z8 from The World is Not Enough. And that, of course, is a film - not real life.

Secondly at this point in time Toyota had already been introduced to rally racing, namely Group B. Secondly they were extremely successful in Group A and WRC.

Hyundai was not introduced into the US until 1986. Besides, the Hyundai Pony was largely outsourced using proven parts from Mitsubishi and Ford, especially the Cortina.

Toyota USED to be unreliable. Early, if not mid, eighties they had 2 for 1 car sales they were that bad. They literally broke in two, could not travel uphill, and if was so much as drizzling, your engine drowned out. OLD toyota was failure by far. At least they learned from their mistakes, unlike ford.

What are you talking about? The new 2010 fusion hybrid is best in it's class, the 2010 mustang gt is awesome, 2009 f150, and the 2010 taurus are all awesome, ford has improved so much in the past couple years.

The taurus, fusion and F150 have, no matter the year, have allways been said to have one issue. THEY'RE BORING. And shifty eyed ford will charge you for everything they can.

Have you seen how honda sells their cars? You have to get the highest package just to get some option instead of just buying the lower end model, and getting that option. The new taurus and fusion have great styling according to reviews, much better than the boring camry. Check out some reviews of the fusion and taurus and they won't mention boring.
