@alejokattana Aizen does'nt count?. Dude Aizen is way stronger than an average captain, he can beat any of them except Yamamotto, he mentioned this when he created Wonderweiss. Aizen pwned Ichigo with no effort at all and Ichigo had previously defeated Baykuya.

What I don't get is that Yamamoto is like uber powerful, and yet he hardly seems to do jack squat whenever trouble arises. It's always up to Ichigo and the captains to do the actual fighting. Why doesn't Yamamoto just show up and destroy the enemy with one swing? Would save everyone a helluva lot of trouble, and Soul Society wouldn't be destroyed every other day.
Kenpachi doesn´t have a chance against the old man, Yama-jii could take him and Byakuya at the same time whitout releasing his bankai, cause you have forgotten that Yamamoto has a bankai too, so even if Zaraki had a bankai and had his eyepatch off, and even fighting with Byakuya whit his bankai against Yamamoto, Yamamoto would probably bite both of them to death, think that Yama-jii took down Wonderweiss who won Kensei with his bankai, and the old man did that barehanded.
@tappman85 Kenpachi is the weakest Captain apparanlty, the reason for this is because he does'nt know how to use his Zanpukto which puts him at a massive disadvantage against all the others who do. The only thing about Kenny that makes him stand out is his durability. Yama is the strongest captain of them all being the commander and would also pwn any of the Espada and the second strongest is Kryokua and 3rd is apparanlty Unohana. Yama took out Wonderweiss with his bare hands aswell.

The fully Hollowfied Ichigo that defeated Ulquirroa would defeat any of the Captains including Aizen and Yama-jii. And once Ichigo trained in the Dangai he beat Aizen without breaking a sweat.
@dlj3cs2 i've seen every episode and neither one of these Captains have shown their true powers plus Shunsui beat espada 1 without using his bankai while Ichigo needed hollow mask/bankai/full hollow to beat number 4..These 2 are both HIGH RANKING Captains and should not be taken lightly by ANY fanboy...Even Head Captain Yamamoto(God of Bleach) holds them in high regards..Without Final Getsuga Tenshou Ichigo doesn't stand a chance plus he's losing his powers as we speak.
@Constellashun look at it this way, Aizen beat most the captains and vizards at the same time, and then got WAY stronger after entering his chrysalis stage, beat Urahara, Yoruichi and Isshin at the same time, then powered up again, destroyed the Kotetsu just by looking at it, Powered up AGAIN, and Ichigo beat him without even using hollow mask.

He didn't use hollow mask because he doesn't have it anymore, when he beat shirozangetsu he gained complete control over ALL of his power, which means that in his new bankai he was already far stronger than normal bankai and hollow mask. They were combined and part of a single power now.

Do you guys forget that Yamamoto taught Kenpachi some kendo? Aside from his incredibly destructive shikai (which is the strongest in all of Soul Society). He can cast lvl 90+ kidou without the incantation AND he has super powerful strength. He probably knows even more than that too. You guys really overestimate Kenpachi. Even with a hollow mask he would still lose to Yamamoto and his shikai (or just his hands).

@dlj3cs2 i've seen every episode and neither one of these Captains have shown their true powers plus Shunsui beat espada 1 without using his bankai while Ichigo needed hollow mask/bankai/full hollow to beat number 4..These 2 are both HIGH RANKING Captains and should not be taken lightly by ANY fanboy...Even Head Captain Yamamoto(God of Bleach) holds them in high regards..Without Final Getsuga Tenshou Ichigo doesn't stand a chance plus he's losing his powers as we speak.

@Constellashun look at it this way, Aizen beat most the captains and vizards at the same time, and then got WAY stronger after entering his chrysalis stage, beat Urahara, Yoruichi and Isshin at the same time, then powered up again, destroyed the Kotetsu just by looking at it, Powered up AGAIN, and Ichigo beat him without even using hollow mask.

@dlj3cs2 I don't get how you can be this stupid..... He didn't use hollow mask because he doesn't have it anymore, when he beat shirozangetsu he gained complete control over ALL of his power, which means that in his new bankai he was already far stronger than normal bankai and hollow mask. They were combined and part of a single power now.

@dlj3cs2 True but you don't have to be a genius to figure out his slashes were ''getsugas'' they blew the mountains apart and only the ''final'' getsuga looked like a getsuga from before which meant it was a million times as powerful as his normal attacks (the previous getsugas) :) And u also see the merge both in anime and manga, and he gets the sword and all the secrets which means for a smart mind he could control them both flawlessly. :)

Do you guys forget that Yamamoto taught Kenpachi some kendo? Aside from his incredibly destructive shikai (which is the strongest in all of Soul Society). He can cast lvl 90+ kidou without the incantation AND he has super powerful strength. He probably knows even more than that too. You guys really overestimate Kenpachi. Even with a hollow mask he would still lose to Yamamoto and his shikai (or just his hands).

@WarpHedgehog Even Kenpachi admited that his strongest sword swings wouldnt hurt Yamamoto,but Kenpachi's reiatsu is extremly high,saying this is actually meaningless because Yamamotos reiatsu is ever higher.but why even talk about Kenpachi with a hollow mask.if Kenpachi learned to use his bankai and master it plus usinf a hollow mask,i think he would definetly overpower Yamamoto.

Kenpachi. 4) Soifon, Komamura, Hitsugaya | Thats my personal rating!

Yamamoto is the most powerful combatant in either world- Soul Society or Earth. There is no one above him, no one stronger. Aizen himself admits that the Old Man's power vastly exceeds his own.
It was only through his scheme that Yamamoto was incapacitated.
The fact that Aizen was able to duel against four Captains, three Visored and Ichigo indicates that Yamamoto's power must be absolutely monstrous.

Wounded Captains and Visored. It was easy to defeat them. So Yamamoto's power isn't such monstruous. Kyoraku and Ukitake would be able to defeat Yamamoto (Kyouraku defeated the first espada without his bankai).
