@hollyandme141 No we don't get to name our guide dog puppies, and sometimes they do have quite funny names. Each litter is named alphabetically by guide dogs so all the pups have names that start with the same letter.
Oz looks just like the pup I am raising now! Bear is a a Southeastern Guide Dog puppy, almost 7 months old. If everyone could see these pups with their "people", they'd understand why we do it, & how we can let them go-they have a higher purpose. I was so excited to send my 1st pup back, because he was so ready to move on to bigger & better things, to fulfil his destiny. What they do is just so profound that it can move me to tears, but they are always happy, proud tears.
OMG, what a great video. Perfect music. I raised three guide dog pups including one little yellow lab, so this made me cry. Happy tears tho -- thank you ;-)
This video has helped me to understand how it is possible to give them up, "in the end it's right, I hope you have the time of your life". What perfect lyrics! Though no one knows, but the life of a service dog is a noble one. My dogs seem the most happy when "helping" me. Great video, very moving. Thank you.
we have a "failed" guide dog, his name is Rigsby he was 12 months old when we got him, we love him so much, I admire all that puppy walkers do and it must be so hard to give them up, sadly all the dogs don't make it, but we got a wonderfull dog and can only thank the Guide Dogs for him
Wow, great video. I have my first Guide Dog Puppy, and I am SOO attached, but still have another year on her training. Looks like you did a GREAT job with Oz! Hope you keep on raising them!
Aww.. this video almost made me cry. I just said goodbye to my first guide dog pup last week. I've got a second one now though, and she keeps me busy.

Spookily came across whilst trawling.
Lovely compilation and it's nice seeing what fun "our dog" had prior to when he boarded with us during his final stages of training.
I can see where he get's his love of swimming from. :)
I'll contact you offline as I can't seem to post any links for pictures here for some reason.
Regards
Craig
