WHat?? My 92 Topaz xr5 5peed V6 get 26-28mpg like clock work...driving nice. Hey chrome! Miss ya on the tempo topaz website... remember my silver 92 with 7k on her? the chrome on lower doors and exh tip?
Yeah I like the most modern four cylinders too, but my family only drives cars with I4's so I'm overdue for the awesome experience of a V6. I'm trying to get my mom to get her next car with a V6.
I seriously do think that in my lifetime i need to take the heads off a vulcan and figure out why they sound so good, especially considering the fact that otherwise their not the greatest engines. (actual engine achitecture may be great, but 135hp from a 3.0 liter? w/ 13 mpg, common!)
@dhaddox From having one with broke ass o2 sensors. Ethanol capable is great until the engine has no idea how much gas it should feed the engine, so put richer fuel and more retarded ignition timing together and you have a car that can't achieve good mileage nomatter what.
I would be interested in real-world, well working v6 tempo fuel milage numbers, only having experience with a broken car isn't really the best way to get ones impressions.
haha, the fuckin engine light... got a 92 tempo, no problems with the car but the light keeps going on and off. (been like that for 2 years)

I don't know where you get your numbers, but the vulcan gets way more than 13 mpg.
