  • It is known that in World war 1 on christmas both allies and axis would stop fighting and come out of the trenches to greet and share foot with opponents, I guess this also happend in WW2

  • It would have been so god damn more good if the Americans started to sing aswell.

  • Oh my God, the Germans also celebrate Christmas!

  • @Eyyoh77 troll more.

  • "Band of Brothers" is just another dishonest propaganda movie from the jew-run Hollywood.

  • my grand father was in the bulge in those fox holes killing germans, he had to retreat cause, well one there were much more germans and his gun didnt work, so he kept fighting untill it was over, he saved lifes of both sides, if he saw a german soldier go down he would get up an save him, he didnt care if he was in the SS. he was a great man he got purple heart and he was a staff sargent. He died about 30 years after the war of parkinsins. R.I.P of the victums of the war

  • Gänsehaut pur!!!! Auch die Deutschen hatten Angst und Sehnsucht nach hause!!!!!

  • Hochheilige Nacht, Classic German Christmas carol

  • German are the BEST!!!! Egal was auch passiert ist!!!!!

  • You stupid americans don't know what jews did in Russia(1917) and what soviets did in "liberated" by them countries. You assholes. Even 3 millions of russians fought for Hitler.

  • @Gwynnfevar if you'er going to call a country "stupid" at least say it with proper grammer, you just made yourself look like a fool.

  • @M11ty I speak in foreign langauge. Can you speak another langauge with me? I think No, so shut the fuck up !

  • @Gwynnfevar its called google translater idiot

  • @M11ty Google translater does nothing if you don't know language, get it?

  • @Gwynnfevar now that just made u look like an idiot, google translator is meant for people who dont know a language

  • The Nazis slaughtered and killed innocent people. The average German soldier was just trying to survive...

  • @UnkownSoldier117 ALL EUROPE FOUGHT FOR HITLER !

  • @Gwynnfevar what are talking about?

  • Merry Christmas to all people of good will...peace and love.

  • If you look at the world from outer space, you will notice no borders. If only that was the case.

  • Merry Christmas! Whoever you may be or whatever country you come from

  • And have a Merry Christmas!!!

  • I'm German and I hate the stereotypical crap we have to put up with for the actions of Hitler, the SS, and the Nazis!!!

Only 1 out of a 100 German soldiers were Nazis. Even many of the generals were not. They fought because they took an oath to Hitler and they didn't know what kind of a sadistic person he was.

Please don't stereotype us with Nazis!!! We are jolly, peace-loving people who love to eat and be merry!! Good will to all!!!

  • kEEP IN MIND , THIS really DID HAPPEN , The Germans were just doing their job , just like our boys

  • In the end we are all brothers. Different country, same kind of men.

  • @ZBone12 If nazis(and all Europe) won that war it would be far better world.

  • Every Wehrmacht Soldier in WW2 fought for their country, not for an evil they were completly kept in the dark about.

  • @GermanEfficiency The Christmas Truce of 1914 speaks deeply about how much we truly have in common with eachother despite how much we KNOW that we don't. In the end we all want to have the same things, just in different varieties.

  • the "german" sings with a american accent :)

  • Some people don't distinguish between the SS and the Wehrmacht.

  • 0:38 NOOO YOU IDIOT! YOU KNOW THAT'S BAD LUCK!

  • @BadassRocknRoller Isnt like Allies didnt do Warcrimes why I hear so much about 9/11 and not of Dresben Hiroshima Nagasaki Berlin or Tokyo? Does that mean that all Brits were like Bloddy Harris? No of course not! Germans could be National Socialist and still be good men as many were in Wehrmacht and Waffen SS

  • I'm shaking so god damn much... I feel like I'm dancin!"

  • Joeux Noel anyone?

  • @mrtubbypanda you shoudla check out some documentaries about these issues. A lot of people assimilate "SS General" with the "Waffen SS" divisions. The Waffen SS were cut off from SS General before the begining of war and has nothing to deal with the SS (with black uniforms). Waffen SS was a fighting unit (infantry divisions at begining and Panzergrenadier later with their own artillery and materials). Waffen SS never work in Final Solution and the guards of the camps were from SS General.

  • @KroM234 mrtubbypanda the comment was not for you as you can realize I agree with you, but for thejburner

  • @KroM234 Depends is hard to see who did took part in that... All branchs of Third Reich took part in it includs the Wehrmacht. What is SS General? SS was so huge had milions of people in it men women. German Dutch Estonian Indian Asian etc! So yeah is kind hard to say that all took part in it. And black uniforms were only used before the war. by 42 no SS had black uniforms.

  • a great scene indeed. This makes you thinkin about war far more than battle scenes. Wunderschönes Lied.

  • @BadassRocknRoller LOL THE GERMAN SOLDIERS DIDN'T KNOW WHAT THE NAZIS WERE DOING? Ask yourself--Do you not know what your left hand is going to do next? Or where your two feet take you?

  • @quicklern818

    Believe it or not,

most Germans did NOT know what really happened inside those concentration camps.

They also did NOT know about an agenda to gas 6 million Jews. Most Germans thought it were labour camps were Jews were forced to produce supplies for the German army.

  • @quicklern818 they didnt knew. you cant imagine how most of them hated the nazis

  • @FrontierzOfficial hey man i hope you're right. I really do.

  • @quicklern818 well my grand grandfather and all his camerads hated hitler. even theyre officers were against the nazi regime.

  • @quicklern818 were newspapers and the radio. The news was only shown to them as propaganda in the cinema before a movie started. There were many jews in germany at this time. The population was mixed so many had jewish friends. The Nazis had to be tricky to "resettle" the jews, like the propaganda said, without getting the population against them. The masses fell for the lies, those that started to think were held down with fear (& more propaganda) and those who woke up were imprisoned immediately.

  • @quicklern818 I am german and I did hardly understand it myself how they could NOT KNOW? and believe in the Nazis. I found a history website with youtube videos were old women were interviewed. People from that time were completely idealised. They were so often told to be righteous, tolerant and honest that they believed their system would act the same. This was part of the ideology everywhere. It wasn't even thinkable that rascist, lying people were at power. The only sources of information

  • @quicklern818 You have to understand how propaganda works and how masses of people react on it. Its like a mass panic.Few people will be clever, but masses of people act ridiculous and fall for the lies IF-> Their enviroment acts the same. If there was something going wrong, those who are more clever then you would say that, wouldn't they? Studied people with doctor degrees. Sad thing is, those people thought the same way. I'd hope we learned from that. But if I look out there I fear we did not.

  • “All joined together in a sing-song, each side taking it in turn to sing a song, and finally they ended up ‘God Save the King’ in which the Saxons sang most heartily!! This is absolutely true. One of our men was given a bottle of wine in which to drink the King’s health. The — Regiment actually had a football match with the Saxons, who beat them 3-2!!!”

  • @GermanEfficiency Könnt ich mir gar nicht vorstellen aber ich glaub dir schon das so etwas statt gefunden hat

  • @mrtubbypanda utter shit.the Waffen SS were gladiators of thier day,yes the ss ran camps, but they also won many battles, and its on record by wermacht officers who stated, even though we did not like the SS we were fucking gratefull when they came into help.cause they were terrific soldiers, brutal yes but outstanding.they would die before giving an inch of ground.

  • @GermanEfficiency the officers on both sides, moved the soldiers who played football on no mans land.cause of the reaon you just said, they indentified them as normal people like themselfs.orders were sent out the very next day,by both british and germans, that they would be court marshalled if they did that again, and in all probabillity shot.we should all remmeber those men who died in taht god awfull war,as heroes and brave to a fault

  • @mrtubbypanda

there were military units in the ss, and tank units for that matter.

  • Well ya you can be friends with someone one minute but in the words of a great man.... Its easier to kill someone when you think of them as a target

  • haha it does warm my heart but a couple minutes later, easy gets hit by a mortar barrage

  • not all german soldiers were evil, unless its the SS and Gestapo.

  • @MrAznPillow SS wasnt evil too. in the beginning they were only composed of fanatical nazis but later on in the war normal german soldiers and soldiers from eastern countries were integrated into the SS.

  • @TheJBurner oh haha sorry im ignorant on some things.

  • @TheJBurner wasnt it SA and then SSI could be wrong but I just remember something before SS

  • @blackoutcider the SA was before the SS yes but the SS wasnt formed out of the SA. the SA was only seen during hitlers rise to power and the establishment of the regime. sort of like a police force. after the SA was no longer needed hitler had their leaders accused of treason and they were executed. the SS was later formed as hitlers bodyguard. funny how the SS later consisted of up to 300000 men. imagine having a bodyguard force of 300 000 people. lol

  • @TheJBurner Lol strength in numbers

  • @blackoutcider the SS was one of the best trained and best equipped units of the war. they were the elite of the german army. well the Waffen SS was.

  • @GermanEfficiency Technically this scene wasn't inspired by that... Band of Brothers and Easy company is all real, taken from events documented in the book of the same name... This actually happened in Bastogne, all those years ago.

  • This was one of them scenes which really warmed my heart up, it gave the Germans a face

  • At the time of supreme peril I must Die a Martyrs death for the people, but after my death will come something really great, an overwhelming revalation to the world of my mission, my spirit will rise from my grave, and the world will see I was Right!! - Adolf Hitler

  • you should look up -> Christmas truce

  • I am an American. My grandfather fought to liberate Europe from Nazi Tyranny. He liberated a concentration camp; there, he saw humanity at it's worst. Yet, my Poppa didn't blame the common German soldier. He said, "They answered the Call of Duty, like my friends and I did." Poppa, however, did place the blame on S.S. officers, the Gestapo, and the citizens who saw things and didn't care.

  • @gheldmann Ofcourse the citizens didtn seem to care, if they'd complain about it they would have been marked as a "political prisoner" and would be in a nice little camp themselves.

  • I never find many American movies that DON'T demonize the Germans into "evil nazi's", I'm so glad that this 1 expresses the FACT that both sides were just humans drafted into the military, it's called war, not "kill the evil guy hip hip hurray" video game.

Surviving German soldiers today are unhappy that Adolf Hitler told them lies, they are also unhappy that at schools, they don't mention that, and simply call every single German an "evil nazi", it sicken me aswell.

  • @jimmyxx3 That´s the jews was called the german evil ! But what is that what the evil calls the EEEVIIILLLL???????????????????

  • @jimmyxx3 im only 14 and i know that...all others who just catagorize germans into nazis are just screwed up. amen

  • @jimmyxx3

german soldiers are not demonized, they are just stereotypes.

  • @jimmyxx3 Watch Joyeux Noël

  • @BadassRocknRoller Thank you for this comment!

  • Frohe Weihnachten!^^

  • pues aunque no lo creas DeviousBetrayer, antes de ser nazis eran humanos como tu y como yo..

  • Those nazis are singing christmas songs?

  • @DeviousBetrayer *sigh* immature kid

  • @DeviousBetrayer not all were nazis but were drafted

  • @DeviousBetrayer yes , the did :D

  • @DeviousBetrayer they probably were not Nazis. just normal German soldiers doin' their job and fighting to stay alive. just like in all wars, there really is no bad guys, just people fighting for their lives.

  • Comment removed

  • Lucky Strikes means fine tobbaco :D

  • "I'm shaking so god damn much..I feel like I'm dancing" xD

  • even when i watch that, i wonder what amazing american accent all germans have.^^

  • Penk is so adorable in this scene! I just wanna hug him!

  • Jolly old St. Luz.....good ring to it

  • you always have moments like that, thank you god.

  • This scene really touched me. It reminded me that no matter how bad some of the Nazis were, they were still human like we are today.

  • I understand the frustration. But that's the way cultural karma works. Sometimes we pay for the crimes of previous generations, fair or not. In America we have the legacy of wiping out the native people, slavery, and brutal racism. I wasn't involved (my direct ancestors weren't either), but I am a product of the legacy. Sometimes I am judged by that view of America.

For what it's worth I love all the Germans I have met. Und Ich lerne Deutsch sprechen. Tchuss!

  • I find it so moving and amazing when they include something like this in a war movie, where despite the chaos and the bloodshed, someone or some people take a break and join in song, especially during christmas, another time was passchendaele when that dove came in the air, really sick scene, awesome stuff

  • @BadassRocknRoller Well not every regime has killed over 6 million of its own people and launched the most desturctive wars in human history. These were some serious fanatics :P

  • great scene . merry Christmas!

  • merry christmas to all... and may there never be a war again! germany and america r brothers especially at christmas. greets from germany

  • It seems there are always these moments when both sides remembers that they are still human.

  • Thank you for posting this scene. The singing has always touched me. Dose anybody know of a CD with this in it's entirety? I wish you all a Merry Christmas.

    Sam

  • Thank you for posting this scene. The singing has always touched me. Dose anybody know of a CD that has this in it's entirety? I wish you all a Merry Christmas.

    Sam

  • I remember this scene long ago. The singing really touched me. Dose anybody know of CD of this song being sung in it's entirety? Thank you for posting the scene. I wish you all a Merry Christmas.

    Sam

  • @dragonangel6 Look you damn tommy, dont go and call the Germans massmurders and all your false shit, dont blame the Germans. Blame you damn brits and your treaty of versailles, if you hadnt of put Germany into such a terrible economic position after the war that they had no choice but to fight to pull themselves out of it, and if that meant blaming the jews and kickin british ass back across the channel, then thats on you.

  • @Jwtrucking15 Same here, Im 14 and Ive been into WW2 for quite awhile, I agree, there has to be somebody to defend the Germans, because history is written by the victor, and they definitely werent half as bad as most people think they are, they fought and died for their country same as us, and they deserve the same honor as we give to the jews that died in the camps!

  • @iceblue345 good for you, Lippstein, but what the hell does German soldiers singing Stille Nacht have to do with having Untermenschen, oops i mean, jewish friends, you damn liberals and your false accusations against the brave soldiers of the Waffen SS and the Wehrmacht in the name of everything jewish, if you cant appreciate history and the men that were in it, dont bother commenting on an awesome scene like this, MEINE EHRE HEISST TREUE

  • this was such a cool scene, it kind of brings to question why the fuck people go to war in the first place.

  • Pink's line at the end is one of my favourite lines in anything, ever.

  • ahah what an american accent have these Germans xD

  • this has got to be one of the most sad parts

War is horrible no matter much people say its justified

  • well i´m from germany.. i´m a german... and i realy have to say... its just sad.

it was christmas.. and both sides were scared. sure, we were wrong in ww2 and it was false to believe to hitler.. i mean he was just a little stupid asshole. but not all germans were/are nazis and terrible to each other people and nations. and this scene from band of brothers touches me. both sides can´t be at home for christmas eve. no family, no lovers. just fear and coldness.. poor. greatings from Germany.

  • @pweickinger I truly believe you I have been studying WW2 for 5 years and im only 14

  • @Jwtrucking15 what?? xD haha kk dude ;)

  • @pweickinger amen to that! Merry Christmas all - stop all hate!

  • @rfd177 ;) alright dude :P

  • Ich komme aus Deutschland haha ich bin ein Kraut =I'm from Germany I'm a Kraut

    frohe weihnachten merry christams

  • @2XxManUnitedxX2 Frohe Weihnachten aus Amerika!

  • I feel like i am shaking so goddam much i feel like dancing. WOW

  • Moral of the story:

    We can all get along

As long as we all have the same religion :)

  • @p0tazzium I hope your comment was satire... if it was well done i lulled

  • @rodhavji don't worry, it was.

  • You know your decription of the Germans back then doesnt leave much room for debat over how ignorant of the world you are.

  • Those of you who keep talking about matters of national identity need to look beyond who was German and who was American in this video. These were just men, put against each other to fight in horrible conditions, but they were still humans. I just remember what Shify said about under different circumstances, both German and American soldiers may have been good friends. That's just a result of the human element, even when men are at war.

  • dude thats brutal these guys are over there fighting for thier country thier girl friends are all dumping them back home man that sukcs

  • Ich komme aus Deutschland, und da muss ich dir echt zustimmen!

I come from Germany and of cause you're right

  • @beatlemanable

    because its christmans?

  • This is based on a TRUE incident.

In WW1 the British and German soldiers met on the battlefield on Christmas eve. They stopped fighting each other, shared food and cigarettes, embraced each other and played football. After this they didn't want to fight each other anymore. A TRUE STORY

Look for "Christmas Truce" here on Youtube. It's very moving.

  • lol Russian were much worse then Nazis

  • lol "just thank jolly old saint luz

  • germans were not the most terrible people on earth NAZIS WERE! And Nazis were a small fraction of the german people. The german people turned to be the first victims of the nazi regime and ended also as the last victims of that hatred regime.

  • I servely get annoyed when people look at me and see a Nazi because I am of German heritage. Wongjonny had it right, we worshipped the same God, sang the same songs, and yet most Germans are called Nazis! Look back at the Civil War. Only 10% of people in the South had slaves, and yet when you look at the Civil War and the Confederacy, you think slavery. The same with the Germans. Not all were Nazis, or believed that Jews were the problem. God bless Germany, God bless America!

  • @SwinlishKaiser fair enough not all germans were nazis, and again, fair enough people shouldn't think of you as "evil" because you are german, nevermind look at you like your a nazi! but.. during WW2, millions of allies and soviets AND germans died.. for what? Germans. Fair enough it was mostly Hitler, but the nazis were a small part of germany, sure enough the krauts didnt like it, but they still followed hitler into the war? right? so dont give me shit like god bless germany lol....

  • @dragonangel6 for what? the nazis don't invented conquering other lands, they wanted force, but thats not new in the world, maybe u british people should think about the treaty of verseilles, which was the breeding ground for the nazis. anyway god bless germany, there are so many good years than these 1933-45 worse! and dont think naive, the germans suffered for their faults and destruction and took responsibility after war, the russians were much worse than the nazis, but they are heros...

  • @Beecko187 no, the breeding ground was an angry german with shit under his nose lol

and who are you saying dont be naive? that i should forget about BOTH wars? that i should just forget all those people lost their lives due to fucking GERMANY???

dick, i never said i thought russia were heros, never said i liked russia dick, so stfu, i'm not blaming 21st cent. germans, but fuck you ignorant german for mentioning brits, who pretty much saved europe from germant..stfu stupid.

  • @dragonangel6 i dont said u like stalin, that was a comparison!

and your comment now shows why i said dont be naive, i dont need to insult someone to say some, and i dont deny the nazi crimes, but the 1.world war is not the fault of germany(the treaty of versaille say that..), who is ignorant know? read facts and not just british history books, i little fact beside ur royal family came from germany. i just try to be neutral but u are more like the typically anti-german.

  • @Beecko187 yes, i am, what you gonna do? you fucked up millions of people, dick head, and it is the fault of germany you retard! you got the treaty of versaille BECAUSE of world war 1, who cares if it was unfair? you fucking started it you FUCKING FASCISTS! you fucking moronically followed the dude that burned your precious reichstag, fucker, i said i wouldnt direct my points at 21st century, but germans are all the same, and brits, the worst the did that affected other countries, was the

  • @dragonangel6 british empire, and it actually helped people you scum, WW1 and 2 and no reason behind it except people believing they could actually take over the world and following a dude that claimed he would help the people.. AFTER burning their reichstag, and my brit history books? history is written by the victors, NOT THE FUCKING MASS MURDERERS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you DICK!

  • @dragonangel6 u don't get it,germany got the treaty of versaille cause we lost, and a line of that was that germany had to incur guilt of the wolrd war, but that was the treaty not the true. like i said before i dont deny the nazis were massmurders, but u try to blandish the british empire, even in the name of god there were so many people killed in history,so u are anti-christ now?

haha you dick fuck fuck ficken blasen arschficken, ur insults amuse me alot, they cant cover ur simple-mindedness

  • @Beecko187 actually yes, i am anti christ, i dont believe that our so called saviour would appear once when noone can prove he was here, also i dont believe they would let jews die for 6 years for your savage ancestors, i think hes blind, stupid hope, after all, isnt it religion that seperated the nazis from the jews?

  • @dragonangel6

Very true, all of it, but I don't think this is the time and place to have a youtube fight.

As a matter-fact, every time someone gets into a youtube fight their IQ drops by about 5 points. It's a scientific fact. It's also why I'm not as smart as I used to be. And also why I forgot to put a period at the end of this sentence

  • @dragonangel6 Im german and I think youre perfectly right!

  • @dragonangel6 and the brits have shit under ther nose to lololol( sorri but ur lols are inconvenient) u conquered enough and killed enough , no country has a clean slate, but fuck that youtube discussions are senseless bye

  • @SwinlishKaiser you are right but why do yo have German ww2 songs on ur channel? NVM but

ur right my uncle his grandfather live in Germany during ww2 and he was AGAINST the Nazi's Hitler told if anyone would be againts him he will be a prisoner and guess what... prisoner and shot

  • @SwinlishKaiser same with me i get called nazi.

  • @SwinlishKaiser i salute you

  • they did this in WW1 in the trenches

both sides celebrated christmas, and then started fighting again the next day

  • @tacomang yeah they did both sides walked out and shared smokes and pictures of their familys next day back to normal kind of sad aint it. but i dont see why it took a holy day to bring both sides togather and enjoy themselves

  • Germans and Americans are friends so dont look at WW2, hitler was an idiot.

Now we are friends and that is good, in this time we should fight for the human rights and freedom all over the world as brothers not as enemys!

    Greetings from Germany ;)

  • It's silent night. You can tell by the rythem. Can't you here, siiilent night. hoooly night. all is calm all is brght...

  • Would everyone quit sayin that the Germans were all Nazi's during World War 2. Have any of you ever heard of the draft or just doing what they thought was right at the time hell for all the citizens knew they were the ones bein invaded German soldiers were human too except well the SS

  • lucky strike means fine tobacco!

  • its funny the germans have all a amarican accent

  • wir deutsche wissen wie man stimmung macht! ^^

  • Nazi Soldiers were human. Hittler was a MONSTER!!! Watch episode 9 of this show and tell me about it

  • anyone ever hear of the Christmas Truce of 1914 between the British and German/ French and German?

  • lol, i think everyones heard of that lol

  • LOL! I know that! Both sides actually exchanged gifts to one another. Then they were back to killing eachother.

Evryone became human once Christmas rolled around!

  • @xerxerxex yes, there is a french movie about that truce. the movie is called: Joyeux Noel.

  • @obijankanobi I'm gonna have to check that out. thanks!

  • @xerxerxex Yeah, alot of regements of both sites played soccer in that truce. War is a strange thing, but so is mankind.

  • @xerxerxex yes

  • @marius55100 kewl.

  • @xerxerxex they all celebrated Christmas together the english drunk beer with the germans but after Christmas war started and the short friendship was over

  • @1makermovie such a great thing, but unfortunate that the fighting continued the next day.

  • @xerxerxex yes thats whay i actually mend

  • @1makermovie I figured.

  • @xerxerxex actually all three :D

  • @WW2Phan001 lol.

  • Well it seems that *Shocker* not all of the wehrmacht were athiest or being bum-fucked by satan. But theses must be the only soilders in Germany who are not like that RIGHT?

  • its a christian song ... sung by Wehrmacht soldiers ....
