i was doin this and just before the battle ended i put the dps thingy up and i saw a shadow priest with 40k DPS

Why isn't your offtank taking the adds to melt/brittle? There are like 4 adds out there, that is 15%*4= 60% added damage to Ignis, isnt it? Just asking for the reason of your strategy, not flaming or anything.

Depending on the gear of your Raid and the dps, for every construct that is up ignis gets a damage buff so if you can bring down ignis and have a very good OT and OT healer to tank all the adds that spawn it is a bit easier, stand in the water so the scorch doesnt actually come of and get extinguished.

In 10 man u can just ot the adds and burn ignius down, Everyone stand at on end of the pool and tank him at the other, point away from raid for scorch purposes, I Have done this as of 4/20 with ok geared dps. 3 healers

we tried without kiting the adds

just having 1 tank tank everthing (pally 41k)

with 3 heal (disc / pala / druid)

got him to 38% and then 1-2 hitted the tank :x

mostly i was able to prevent the killing blow after the first hit but this time.. dunno (had 5 adds 5x15% = 75% damage increase, its 15% per add)

the damage increase is not counted like that. its much more then 75%-.-

can count the result for you but its first 15%. and second allready is more in dmg cus its 15% added to the first increase. .so 15% x 5 is much more then even 100% increase from his original damage.

Seems like the strategy from PTR where you just tank the adds no longer works. My guild tried this today and the main tank pretty much got one shotted. I believe you must use the strategy where you kite the adds through scorch and quench them in the water. If anyone knows if the PTR strategy still does work please reply. Maybe my guild got unlucky on our attempts.

The Lava goes away on it's own after a while. It's just used to turn the iron constructs into Molten constructs though.
