@ManosTheOne If I remember correctly, the Greek national anthem is enormous; so long that nobody has ever memorized the entire thing. Abbreviated versions are used for business purposes. It would be impossible to find a parody for the entire anthem.

@grp504 Sounded to me almost exactly like what was written, but I know no Greek other than the common words of Greek origin. However, if you speak Greek, then to you it will not sound as the English subtitles.

I think people can tell from those buffalaxings (which may look more Dutch than English) that I'm not just someone that only knows one language. I'll "translate" some of the Dutch-like portions for those that don't begrip what says it even if it does look similar to English. Wanneer means "when" or "whenever", "schon" means pretty or beautiful, "zijn" means sign, "door hunderduizend zuchten snel" means "through a hundred thousand small wishes".

I'll post it here (that was before I learned Deutsch, by the way, so I heard it as a mix of English, Dutch, and fake German-like sounds. Deutchlandlied became Germany's National Anthem in 1922, so it is not the "Nazi Anthem". Today, they use the same song, though technically only the last verse.

Wikipedia: It works. Heil dir im Seigerkranz was only the unofficial anthem, and was not accepted because it had been the Prussian anthem. Germany didn't really have an anthem between 1871 and 1922.
