I agree this scene should have been kept but it was very poorly directed. as far as threat is concerned, yes it is an insult but the last line really had me in fits - "touching an indian woman"..I think the way she held aishwarya's hand was threatining but nothing to do with 'touch-me-not' attitude of indians. Its worldwide isn't it? Indian or not?

@hermioneChi thanks for replying. no, you didn't offend me. i was just asking. i am chinese. i rarely touch anyone except a handshake or someone i know very well. i know a lot of Indian women. they do not kiss. if lucky a hug. i heard that they are very conservative , well mannered, & cautious. i had a crush on a hot indian girl once. she declined a date w/ me. this was a fun movie.i have the soundtrack. it's nice music. a. rai is very attractive. she is a star. enjoy.****

It's a Lady Catherine scene! Would have been nice to see it in the film, but it's not all THAT important except to Austen fans. Good acting, though... :)
