  • So great. Thanks.

  • Sooooo sweet.

  • Irving Berllin's 1915 music featured in the 1946 movie "Blue Skies" starring Bing Crosby and Fred Astaire.

  • @nancyfloressantos Irving Berlin was indeed the composer. In one of my songooks, it shows a copyright date of 1919 & says it was originally from the 1919 stage production of Ziegfeld Follies. I sure love this Artie Shaw version of it.

  • Treasured.

  • This is one of Dita Von Teese's favorite tunes to strip to!

  • @judithburle

Alot of strippers from the past used "A Pretty Girl" also "Miss Alice Blue Gown".

  • I have this song on an Artie Shaw cd. It is dated June 11, 1936, New york city. Very nice. Also, for a vocal version, try Mario Lanza. I know you'll enjoy that one too.

  • Beautiful rendition of this song. Love Artie!

  • Very pleasant song...

  • One of my favorite Artie Shaw performances :) he was brilliant.
