  • The video this is a response to said that you would have to come up with some bizarre rationalization to explain it and you sure did.

  • Excuses.

  • Even if God put the stars there

He would of had to wait millions of years before creating the Earth, for us to see the light. I'll wait to see how you say a flood, even at such scales can produce such readings.

Did you know that The Church claimed the fossils found on the surface of rock was washed up by the great flood? This argument held up, until they founds fossils deep in rock.

How could humans populate the world in 6000 years? Most studies say it took hundreds of thousands of years.

  • Why would God have to wait for anything, including light from stars?

Lots of people claim that the great fossil beds are the result of the great flood. They claim this because in order for fossils to form they have to be buried quickly. Fossil beds would indicate that at the same spot many, many creatures were buried very, very quickly.

The population makes a good deal of sense. The population of the Earth in 1AD is estimated at only 200,000.

I'm an old earth creationist, though.

  • The Bible says God created the light before the stars, so God didn't wait on anything.

The event of Noahs flood was something that didn't just affect the surface of the planet but shook it all the way to its core. That explains the tectonic plates and even the dinosaur fossils being found deep in the earth, and The mountains we have today were formed due to the flood.

    thanks for you comment.

  • read my response to historysage...

and about the population...The Bible says that people were still living for hundreds of years shortly after the flood... and they didn't do it in 6000 they did it in 4000 since the flood...

how many kids could you have if you lived for four hundred years?

  • This is where I simply say, I don't believe that is possible. I thought God "sent forth the water from the heavens" or something like that, I highly doubt that would create the Tectonic plates, and bury INTACT fossils below one another.

And, Gman, that is a great question, and i'm sure that would help grow the population, but it would not explain how humans would cross the globe so quickly. Maybe the Nephilims could have, with their giant strides.

  • well, I believe that immediately after the flood and for a few hundred or so years, all the continents were connected.

I mean if the water level were lowered by just not even 100 ft. all the continents would be connected today. Where the bearing straight is and Australia. They all would be connected just after the flood. and I don't know about Antarctica, but that continent doesn't matter anyways.

the Bible even says something happened during the time of Peleg and Joktan Genesis 10:25

  • oh, and most of the water that covered the earth came from underneath the earth. It only rained for 40 days and 40 nights. The water kept rising, however, for 150 days...Genesis 8:24

  • right...
