  • This is great! I have been workign on this today but ....I have been using a COPPER PLATE. I had one image work in the very beggining but then the entire afternoon I have been wiping my drawings away....is ther eanyway you can use copper????? Thanks for sharing this! love that it is non-toxic!

  • Hi It's possible that it works with a copper plate. It works on zinc too. I will try. Alumimium is more stabibility. Thank's a lot for your post. Do you know the forum Inkteraction ? We wil can speak more about it.

  • @baffinnh no, I don't know that forum . It sounds interesting.

I had so many problems with the drawing yesterday. It kept washing off the plate. I used some good handmade soap too. Even when I used oil pastel that washed off. Do you think USA cola is different than your cola? did you put gum arabic in the cola? on another note, do you know Peregrine Press group in USA? Printmakers. We can talk more about that. cheers

  • Hello can you write me at emilion@laposte.net ? thank's a lot

Be careful with cola you must read acide phosphoric in the cola's composition. You must try again. K-Litho is simple but still lithography . Attemps ares necessaries. See you on emilion@laposte.net

  • Hello !

    A bientôt

Amicalement

  • this is awesome! many thanks

  • Wonderful! I took lithography in college and have wanted to try it again ever since.

Take a look on my site internet there is a handbook to download.

  • Awesome.

  • This is so cool! I can't wait to give it a go!

  • Love it. Always enjoyed lithography class in college but never saw any way I could afford to ever do it again. Maybe I'll give it a go. Thank you.

  • @bgcyclist - I've been plotting robbing a bank for a giant litho stone and press@@@!!!

  • Clici just under the video to read more information and links

  • Print with a spoon and with the thumb, careful it's very hard, use an etching press if you can. If you have an aluminum granulated plate, use this too, the same process with cola and oil.

You must roll 3 or 4 time if you want an image with contrast. But do not ink more !

  • Thank you every body. Muchas gracias.

Yes it's Marseille soap pur vegetal 72%. You can use also a pastel or specific material litho for beguinning, it will be less difficult. Use also an grease etching ink (not ink litho, it's too hard).

  • wonderful

  • Fantástico!!

  • Maravilloso

  • The soap is savon de Marseille, which is why he puts the new cube in view. It's alkaline, which is why it reacts with the acidic Cola and etches the foil.

  • LOVE this! makes me feel a little sick that i spent $20k in art school :)

  • What type of soap are you using to paint?

  • I wish it was clear what materials he is using. What is he painting with at start for instance? And the black colour?

  • @SweinRobber I was puzzled by this too. The English document on his website describes it as "grease chalk", but I suspect it is actually butter! The black would be "Oil paint or better etching ink. Do not use lithographic ink."

  • fantastique

  • what is purpose of multiple rollings and multiple wipings with sponge?

  • @jumpinwilliboy The ink needs to be reset each time. To make even distribution of colour. And then it needs to be wiped in between each inking, because the ink sort of.."forgets" and the ink would roll onto parts its not supposed too. if that makes sense.

  • This is great! Thanks for sharing this video with this inexpensive, non-toxic, very affordable way of litho printing at home. :-)
