  • Um very nice, but I don't think I ever saw or heard an explanation of how you actually connected all 3 monitors. I have a Mac Pro with the same card 3 monitors and a playback monitor (blackmagic card), but I can't seem to get all three displays to show up. I am using a DVI-D to DVI-D cable, and then 2 Apple Mini Display Ports to DVI-D. The only 2 monitors show up. What is the key that I seem to be missing??

  • I see you have Pro Tools ready to go on that set up. Do you have any more videos where you are using that program with the 3 screens? And what kind of connections do I need to go from the Mac Pro to the PC monitors?

  • 35 people only have 1 monitor

  • and you use eye finite how...

  • lol yes. This, soon-to-be-replaced, 5+Y/O amd pc boots way faster :D( i realize this vid is old). the monitor setup is tight though, I'm hoping to do something similar.

  • K, you have all this pro stuff but you edit this vid on iMovie?

  • @onmydesktop...i use it for photoshop, final cut pro basically photo/video editing or just a regular mouse it's pretty handy can't live without it :-)

  • This is such a nerdgasm lol!!!

  • Well, what we want is explanations about how to do it...

  • for what do you use it?

  • dude my OLD pc boots faster than that

  • it would help if there was a good computer connected of the Screens....

  • Is this good for gaming? so you have more of a field of view? like flight sims or a game like ARMA 2?

  • Very nice setup! What is the nice song ?

  • i need to know what kind of adapters you used to run the three screens I've heard its hard....howd you do it?

  • @SwishaHouse7777...no adapters at all just hook it up straight in the graphics card.that's all..FYI i'm using 2 grahics card

  • @somuch2see ok thanks that makes sense, thanks you have two cards

    nice one :D enjoy

  • i just got another monitor for my powermac g5

  • That's a really nice monitor stand.

  • Is it possible to run 6 monitors from a mac pro? I am looking for a new stock monitoring machine.

  • Is it possible to run 6 monitors from a mac pro? I am looking for a new stock monitoring machine.

  • @MrPhotoFreakish you will need more g-cards to do that.. but yes (;

p.s. i must apologize in advance for stealing all your stuff.

  • must be awesome to edit on!

  • sick setup

  • Los monitores entre mas pequeños sean y entremas resolucion tengan tienen mejor calidad y estos me parecen bien...XD

  • dude that looks so badass

  • How did you connect the three monitors and have them work? I seem to have problems with three DVI

  • Its easy in Windows. Make sure you have a video cord that has three monitor outputs. Once your sure they are all connected, right click on your desktop and go to "properties". Then go to the "settings" tab. Here is where you configure your display settings and how you use your multiple monitors. XP supports up to 10 monitors if your video card will allow it.

  • nice

  • I had one of those AOC monitors they sold me a dodgy vga cable with it so took it back got the Dell 22"

  • SORRY I HAVE ONE 50 INCH LED AND IT WORKS FINE

  • why the fuck do u need that??

  • nice man i also want to get a mixing setup just like this awesome!

  • What did you edit this video on?

  • where is the name of the song?

  • ewww

  • But will it blend?

  • I thought you could only hook up two monitors with a MacPro?

  • because he has a brain not to buy a shitty pc!

  • shuttle pro v2 FTW :)

  • OK, you got your triple screens, surround sound bunch of routers and a Mac pro.

What's next???? Are you using yhis for gaming or.....what? i wanna now lol

  • this would've easily saved you a thousand american dollars on the net price if you're on ATI Eyefinity Series like i am.

  • @NYCityBoy718...i don't know man there's something about mac that i don't understand but still wanting it...like a girl you know LOL...

but seriously ALL my editing she's the one helping me you know i wish i could show it to you...thanks dude later

  • @somuch2see yeah, and that just made so much sense :-/

  • @NYCityBoy718 ewwww pc gross

  • @PQPLAYER92 lol lemme go pay 2,000 for a mac that will cost 700 to build myself

  • @milodaman2

You cannot rebuild a Mac Pro for $700. It's funny how people act like sheep when it comes to this kind of thing. A one TB hard drive alone will put you at $200. Want me to keep going? A good video card will also run you $150-$400. Legit copy of Windows seven home premium puts you back another $200! So...That $700 just disappeared before you even got the majority of your parts, let alone a case to house it all.

Lets face it. A Mac is the Mercedes of the computer world.

  • @Bethefisher You're kidding right? You can get a pc with better components for half the money.

  • @Vortex1988

You " Can " get PC HARDWARE for half the money. But you cant get the SOFTWARE for half that money. And OSX+ was designed to run on a select handful of machines, making it a lot smoother and faster then say Windows seven.

Sure you could always get a Laptop for $600 that " Can " do everything a Macbook can do at $1000, but only after blowing a few hundred for premium software. None of the no-name programs made in someones garage.

  • @Bethefisher WOW holy shit, you're closed minded. If I wanted to, I could put OSX on my windows computer, OSX is like what, $30? This computer that I am on is one I built. Cost $900. It has 2TB RAID 0 setup, dual monitors (apple does make good monitors though). 6GB DDR3 @ 16000, a Radeon HD4870 from last year and oh yeah, an intel i7 950 @ 3.2ghz OC'd. Cost of windows: $100 bought OEM from newegg.

"no-name programs" You're implying that there aren't shitty ones for osx too. btw: 1TB=$79

  • @milodaman2

I cant be closed minded because I run three windows machines as well. My gaming rig has a AMD Phenom 925 Quad core at 2.8Ghz, two 1TB hard drives, Windows seven Ultimate, 8Gb DDR3, Radeon 5770 cross fired X2. And you cant run OSX on a windows machine. All I am saying is OSX is a much better experience over windows. Sure you can build a computer for a cheaper price but you will not get the same experience.

  • @Bethefisher That's true. Most people don't need software like that though. Give me microsoft office and I'm happy. Other than that I just surf the web and play games. Building your own computer can sometimes cut down on cost even more.

  • @Vortex1988

Finally someone that does not insult me for my own opinions. Yes I see your point where not everyone needs the software, and I will further say I don't even use all of it. I guess it is just a nice thing to have. If you ever feel in the mood to do something, you have the tools to do it with.

None the less like you mentioned, building a computer will save you a few hundred and you will feel proud knowing you put it all together. Either way have fun YouTubeing!

  • @Bethefisher I didn't mean to insult your opinion... It was this comment that set me off, "Lets face it. A Mac is the Mercedes of the computer world." I also thought you were referring to the computer (hardware, itself) being superior to PC machines, which also set me off. Now that you said operating system, yes. I am on a macbook right now, it's simpler and more elegant that windows. Loads right up, but I prefer my fedora machine over anything including windows.

    But yeah, sorry.

  • @Bethefisher Yeah, lol. I actually started building my own computers because I was sick of having my family buy them from computer companies and then not working as well as we expected. I'm glad I taught myself how to build them too. You can get a lot more for your money that way, for the most part.

A friend of mine is actually saving up some money for me to help him build a pc. It should be pretty nice once it's done.

  • @Bethefisher Btw, here's some of the specs his computer will have:

    Intel Core i5 760 (2.8Ghz stock)

    4GB of DDR3 dual channel RAM @ 1600mhz

    Radeon HD 6870

2x 750GB (total of 1.5TB) WD Caviar Black hard drives in RAID 0

He hasn't decided yet either, but I think we're going to probably get him a 24" monitor. There's a really nice one from ASUS we're looking at right now. It should be pretty awesome once we get it together. It's going to kick the crap out of my computer too, lol.

  • how much did it cost

  • sick dude ;)!

  • I'm digging the set up but the most horrible thing is that all this beautiful equipment is placed in room with carpet. I HATE THE DUST... :)

  • @hunter9306..actually i moved to a new place but yeah in carpet

  • nice Screen Setup :)

  • @djspecialpaul thanks

  • Cool set up (:

  • @DiEndCrisisDecade thanks

  • You can get a wallpaper that uses all three screens.

  • @TearsOfWar1.actually i did thanks

  • @somuch2see true gamers use PC. PC is the best for gaming bro. If you wanna be taken be taken seriously when you play with people on servers then use a pc. 99% of players use pc you'll feel like your surrounded by pc gamers when your in online servers.

  • @Numba1SouthParkFan...i couldn't agree more bro...i build my own custom pc just for games but for editing i can't live without mac

  • Eyefinity setup?

  • @TearsOfWar1...yup thanks

  • Your boot time is even slower than my Pentium 4 hackintosh (2003)

    You should really repair permissions!

  • are you some kinda webcam girl or so haha ?!

  • too much space and power consumption ($) but get 1 large display and 2 smaller ones. the center monitor should always be at least 25". user sits too far away on this "office" (non creative/musician/graphic d ) desk.hence fonts on small monitors will lead to squinting, user will get tired of this soon. best solution:2 regular m's+large lcd tv back on the wall.better for eyes, shift focus.get 50" without breaking bank.looks "pro" as well, versus looking "office meeting"

  • whats that thing at the botto-left corner at 3:50?

  • @TheF1PinkVoltaDream..(from L-R) Shuttle Pro V2, Belkin N52te, iphone

  • This is honestly my dream workspace!

  • cool setup... and that 57 inch is no good, and lower resolution to much weight, sucks for editing too

  • Comment removed

  • very nice! cool setup man (Y)

  • you have a wrong speaker placements man...cool setup though :)

  • WHAT A WASTE OF SPACE i have my mac on 1 57inch lcd

display and i run up to 6 windows on it there really is no need for 3 or 4 displays other then to show off

  • @edmasterson...well, i do it mostly on editing and one monitor is not enough even if as big as your tv..just check on PaddyMacNasty comments and you'll understand what I mean..thanks

  • @edmasterson eh... 57inch is a way tooo small ! you have the small resolution as a 24" monitor. Two 22 inch is bigger than your 57inch TV.

  • @edmasterson no you don't understand. the reason he has 3 monitor's is he is getting way more pixels, which means more physical space. you can have a 100 inch lcd screen hooked up and a 22 inch full hd screen. both screen's would give you the same space. it's all about pixel res...

  • @edmasterson You cannot increase resolution to more than 1920x1080 on a TV with multiple monitors you can go as high as graphics, budget or space allow.

  • @edmasterson one LCD = Maximum 1080P .. 3 Screens = Way over 3000 = better space to use programs correct me if i'm wrong

  • @edmasterson your better off having multiple smaller montitors as they are far higher res and subsequently have far better pixel density. Not to mention monitors produce far more accurate colors for editors and contrasts compared to TVs. TV's are better for scaling. Everything else; get a monitor.

  • well returned that monitor and got a new one this one works btr its an lg w2353 its an 23 with 2ms response and 50,000:1 contrast with tv tuner and digital and analog for only $200 hahahaha in my veiw its a bit btr

  • good for you buddy...but i'm happy with the one i have...later

  • i had two monaters for 8 years and on one of the theres just one dead pixeal altogether

  • Nice! I am just using dual Acer 23" on my current rig (not as nice as the Mac Pro, lol). But the monitors cost me $140 a piece so they're quite cheap and last a long time. I think I've had mine since late 2008 and no dead pixels.

    Nice setup

  • i have a question about the t220 in the middle, i have it and its great but i got a refurbished version and it keeps shutting off by its self and it keeps switching from analog to digital, are u having the same problems? would installing the software that was supposed to come with it fix that? and also it the picture has horizantal blurs when the room is too hot? same with u? srry for the long line of questions i just want to know if i should return it or not......thanks :)

  • it's a great monitor i love it...well, i never had that kind of problem at all..If I were you exchange it while you can..yours probably factory defect..the software wouldn't do anything.. later :)

  • ok thanks..... will do

  • ohhhh btw GREAT set up makes me very jealous haha

  • when u say shutting off it might mean the monitor went into sleep mode

    thats what my does

and and will switch from analog to digital if whatever u hav on analog goes to sleep.

like i hav my xbox 360 on hdmi and pc on digital and when im on my 360 for like 5hrs my pc goes to sleep so when i switch to digital it switches back to hdmi

  • iMovie works great.

For the new ZS3 with AVCHD, it's so slick & easy.

I have Final Cut Studio, & still use iMovie.

  • Yeah, that's true I have Final Cut Studio but for Youtube and simple editing i just use iMovie..that's simple you know

  • Those are decent hvy duty mounts. And nice setup.

For my Cinema displays, 23"s, I'll have to see if these mnts work.

I have the older 08 MacPro w/8800GT, so another card I guess. I have no complaints yet.

    He's 8Gb, w/4 1Tb drives, 3,1series,

    Quad-Core Intel Xeon, 2.8 GHz.

I just read a review the new 2.6 are a bit faster, if I recall.

The last dual screen setup, I just made my own beam to mount them on.

I love the rear ports on the Cinema's, USB/Firewire.

    I use them all.

    Cheers

  • We have the same Video card but my computer is a bit older than yours..hmm i don't know if 2.66 is a bit faster but you have a nice mac pro..and you have Cinema displays that's awesome. yeah, try it with mount and you'll love it i'm sure...Later

  • Nice! Amazing setup! I love it!!

i also have a triple monitor setup (just got it 2 weeks ago)

with a 30" in the middle, and two 24" on the side :) Im still getting used to it :O

  • nice man.. i know once you have this kind of setup..you just can't live without it..

    You're setup is better... later

  • fucking show off!

  • lol..

  • @oddha Old and boring? Look at the Mac Pro line, look at the new 27" iMac.

somuch2see, what monitor mounts are you using? I'm looking to do a triple display setup with my mac pro as well.

  • It's HANNSPREE - SW01-00U1-000...yeah once you've tried tri-monitor, you cannot live without it..have a good one.

  • yeah but mac supports so litle applications like games, most games are for pc, and if you game alot i prefear to use pc

  • yeah, that's true that's why i build pc mostly for games and i do everything on mac..well, no offense I wanna have both worlds..:=)

  • amazing lol

  • i have 2 widescreens on my pc

  • that's nice..

  • What do you use to connect all three monitors together? I have 2 monitors (2 of the samsungs you have) and I was wondering how I would connect the two as an extended display for my Macbook Pro, because right now I can only use one of the monitors

  • i have 2 video cards installed and 4 DVI outputs so i have enough to run 4 monitor if i want to..actually you can not coz you only have 1 DVI output..well, try checking Matrox dualhead2go you might use ur 2 screens..

  • Nice setup, but its take years to startup!

  • NICE SETUP!

  • Ahh nice

  • looks sexy time

  • looks cool clean and installed with criteria, btw what the lil green carpet? towel??. What brand your keyboard? Is that a laptop next to ur mouse pad? and 2 modems??

    TY for sharing!

  • thanks a lot..well the green thing is self healing cutting board, the keyboard is made by Apple, right next to the mouse pad is Wacom tablet (I used it on photoshop, video editing, sketching and stuff. couldn't live w/out it) & modem and a router..

  • awesome guys

hey where did u get these monitors mount or holders arms whatever they call?

i'm looking for my two 22" in monitors

  • it's a HANNspree TV Monitor Table mount (SW01-00U1-000)..they are not selling this anymore though...well, try it on ebay..

  • nice setup thanks for sharing.

  • thanks for watching

  • so, how did you do it? did you need two graphics cards that have dual VGA/DVI out pot ? and did you need some specific program? or you can do it with the settings...?

  • yeah,i used to graphics card w/ dual DVI output..and i didn't used any program just the regular settings..

  • awesome, I'll do it when I get my new PC. :)

  • Sweet setup. Notice your drawing tablet, I presently have a Wacom Intuos, been wanting to get a Cintiq 21UX, but the price seems to never drop.

    LazyMan :-)

  • Really cool!..Cintiq is GOD of tablet..lol i guess the price will never drop that's how it is but they have new ones with the same price..well, i'm fine with my Intuos..Later

  • Yeah I love my Intuos too. I just dream about the Cintiq every time I watch Pixel Perfect.

    LazyMan :-)

  • how are the aoc? i heard they the crt's from aoc were gud buh the lcd's are garbage...buh how are urz?

  • i don't know about that man...but my monitor is awesome! probably this is one of aoc's best monitor yet..you'll appreciate this if you actually see it in real thing..

  • quite a nice setup, I want something similar to that so badly!

  • pretty cool... bot why not just buy a 40'' tv?

  • well, I basically use it for graphics & editing plus some games...while tv's is nice but the quality or the pixels from tv won't be as good as LCD screen or should i say not even close..thanx mate

  • Ok, i don't know really. But im using a 40'' LCD tv to all my stuffs. I would gues if it is a good tv, and not bigger then 40'' it works fine. I can't see any pixels on mine. Butt it's more usefull with there smaller screens. :)

  • The maximum resolution from a TV just now is 1920x1080 which is 2,073,600 pixels. Those samsung monitors are the same resolution, but there are 3 of them. so he will have 6,220,800 pixels to use. When your working on big projects which involve multiple windows being in use at the same time, that's very useful.

  • Thanks Paddy...You explained it a lot better...

  • whats them 2 things on da left, in front of the monitor?

  • (L-R): Contour design ShuttlePRO v2 (editing) & Belkin n52te (gaming)..

  • Nic3 setup! ! had 2 favorite this 1... mayb ill do sumthing like this in the future. . . them AOC's look nice
