I have been a dj for many many years.... Sadly my hd crashed years back and this was one of my favs to spin and forgot the name of it... All I could remember was the first three words let's get rowdy... A Dj out of connecticut brought it back to me.... Can't wait to spin this tonight....
fuck i remember the first time seeing this video; my bro was big into master p and this wasnt an expected collab IMO but i was like 9 so what did i know good song tho takes me back
guess if he gonna be a minister he wont be slappin those thighs anymore lol. man i miss music like this....it was nasty but yet not as nasty as the songs are these days. master p uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh na na na na lol
@KendarB OMG I was thinking the same thing too..I put this on a mix tape for this boy I liked at my summer camp but I thought it was sweet at the time but I never really listened to the lyrics n they're rude....esp for a 10 year old. No wonder his sister kept him away from me
I remember back when Montell was out, kat was like this dude too tall to be singing, ha ha. Dude was like 6'7 or something, ha ha ha..... The good ole days.
Used to bump this in the whip a lot n still do from time to time. they don't have those great rap n RnB collabos anymore. Now we have Trey Songs n Drake wantin to be "Successful". Or Ne-Yo n Plies. Or T-Wayne smh!
The music game is in a state of emergency i mean Dj Khaled is putting together nice Collabs but alot of music i dont really feel has substance this song indeed is a classic
this takes me back to when i didnt even have cable tv, i used to watch the box and put a tape player up tho the tv speaker to record hip hop songs. i had this, and a bunch of old school fly shit.... i wish i could find them tapes!
this bullshit club hip hop and r&b "music" has killed it for artists like Montell. Brian McKnight, Montell, babyface, next, Ghost Town DJs Ginuwine, Avant, Keith Sweat, Joe, Tyrese, and the others need to make a comeback!
Til this day I say that this song could of been done without Master P & Silk the Shocker. Didnt need them! Thats off of the first time i heard this song when it first came out. When montell was doing his thing
Rap and Hip-Hop died like in 2004. Now their feeding you all this stale corny Hip-POP recycle music. It taste like cardboard. I feel sorry for all the younger people for what they are feeding them. I think Pitbull is the freshest most unique rapper/Hip-Hop artist out.

@aguafinatv pitbull?? are you serious? he talks the most bullshit out of all of them!, you just outted yourself, pitbull is a pathetic excuse for an artist.
@aguafinatv ooh lady gaga, lil wayne, hurricane chris, total bullshit along with david guetta, its like manuer u cant replant anything. bobby valentino, pleasure p and pitbulla along with keyshia cole are the only ones holding it down. mariah carey is not that good anymore, mary j. is still good. its amazing to remember lil weezy came out in 98. i miss ruff endz, jodeci, swv, total, jade, tlc, bbd, new edition, etc.
@aguafinatv wow you just said hiphop(even though this track is Rnb) died in '04 cause of hip-pop and then you say Pitbull is the freshest artist out.haha
@aguafinatv this song came out in 1998 when this style of hip hop was near its peak similar to bone thugs and harmony- crossroads. This doesnt even compare to Pitbulls music- of which I agree with you about. It was just the era for this style. Its 90's hip hop dont hate.
@aguafinatv That comment is so narrow minded. Hip-hop died in 2004? Wtf? You mean No limit died in 04'. Dude you must listen to all the commercial stuff like Soulja Boy, Roscoe, 50 cent. . Are you forgetting artist like Common, Luda, T.I., Outkast, Kanye, Jay Z, Little Brother, Slum Vill, Wayne.....the list goes on. You need to do your Hip-Hop research young blood.
@aguafinatv LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! pitbull? that guy is the definition of hip pop please you act like you know good music? u say pitbull? wtf is wrong with you. music is all about evolution if u notice when rap/hip hop came out they rap about gun drugs and now they rap about luxury the shit THEY EARNED! please kid you are fucking retarded im done with you don't even bother replying
@aguafinatv Everything u said is on point except 4 the Pitbull comment. I would rather listen 2 Crooked I, Eastwood, Yukmouth ect. anyday over him. That's just my valuable opinion though,
@aguafinatv THIS IS NOT A REPLY TO AGUAFINATV, BUT I'M SICK AND TRIED OF HEARING THAT RAP AND HIP HOP IS DEAD, WHO CARES! AND ANOTHER QUESTION WHAT MAKES RAP RAP AND HIP HOP HIP HOP, REALLY PEOPLE. IS THIS SHIT EVER GOING TO STOP BACK IN THE DAY PEOPLE SAID HIP HOP WAS DUMB AND IT WASN'T REAL MUSIC! MAKE UP YOUR FU*KING MIND!
It probably died in 2004, but it was diagnosed as having a terminal illness in the late 90s when No Limit and Cash Money came along, then it was shitty party type hip hop followed by Little Jon and his crunk, Kanye came soon after with his awful speeding up of samples then everybody started collaborating with everybody else whether they were pop, metal, hip hop, basically wherever the money was at. There are no borders between genres anymore.
The scene is so fucked now an Ice Cube and justin Bieber double album rapping over classical music written by Sting would hardly be surprising. The music industry is a joke.
@aguafinatv Pitbull....omg did you just randomly throw in a name? :p DJ Quik released a dope album just recently this year. 2010: Ghostface Killah released Apollo Kids, dope album. Beanie Sigel: after a dope album in 2005 he may not have released any great albums but he remains strong. Pitbull was kinda hiphop from beginning but after 2006 he's on some disco shit. LOL
Haha I disagree with you about the worst rapper part lol but it's funny what you said cuz now that I think about it does seem as he never raps on beat lol.... but I think his and P's verses were hot No limit was o fire back then.
