The best and easiest to understand workbook which can be used by anyone to become an accomplished conduit or tube bender can be found on a youtube website at /t04041951
you are very inteligent are you teaching kindergarden i could explain this in under 5 min i am very proficent in doing this you over explain this is something i learned first day on the job like ten or twelve years ago
I've never used metal conduit. Making these bends takes more time which raises the cost of labor. I always use UF or plastic conduit. Its easier to run lines that way anyways. It is still inline with code requirements too. If I had to use metal conduit though, I would not do all these calculations nor would most electricians. Most electricians lay out the conduit and then mark with a sharpie where the bends need made. This is still very good video tho; it is still very educational.
look at the offset ruler. I made a video on it. using it makes bending offsets and three point saddles super easy. and saves on pipe. its good for teaching too
People say that all the time, and try to blame it on the bender. I bet she did not get her mark right, then she did not put in the bender right, and I bet it was not a true 90.
@DAGSTERZ26 its not ignorance or stupidity its a matter of being efficient and and saving the customer some money. Not overcharging them for labor because of inefficiency.
@kalijasin Stop commenting to me. You have nothing that is going to educate me on this. I am a "master". There is noone on here that can bend Rigid, or Intermediate, or crappy EMT like me. I can do it faster than anyone I have ever seen. And it looks more professional than anyone I have ever seen. I learned the right way. I get nothing but compliments with my work. There is noone that can tell me anything about doing calculations. I only do calculations on 2" Rigid and above. HAHAHA!
@DAGSTERZ26 Experienced electricians, such as Master electricians, dont need to make calculations. Electricians of that caliber can make calculations by just simply eyeballing things.
Great video!!!!! Very detailed, explanatory, informative, and hands on.....as well as clearly, and vocally spoken!!! Great job, keep up these excellent videos!!!!!

@DAGSTERZ26 That's why, as I said, many electricians wont do such calculations they will just lay it out and mark where the bend needs made.

@kalijasin Ignorance at it's finest. Does not surprise me. So simple, yet people just can not do it. Because they are idiots.

@DAGSTERZ26 Its a pretty standard practice in the construction field to leave the calculations to the engineers and architects.

Check out the channel for pyrotech8877. There are a lot of good conduit bending videos there.

Dear Ms friendshuh.
Can you explain if the bender head needs to be changed to fit the vaious tube diameters?
1/2, 3/4,1"
Thanks.
I am retired now but was an electrician in the UK.
dondenter 8 months ago
@dondenter ya you usually just buy different benders for the size conduit that you have to bend.
