@tenmashi I reckon it's more like that thing that happens when you're falling asleep and it feels like you're falling over, so your leg shoots out... obviously it isn't asleep, but it might have something to do with the odd position it was in... also cats seem to have a tendency to fight something they think is attacking it (as long as it isn't much bigger), like a cat taking swipes at a cactus after pricking itself, so I think that's why it bit its hind leg. I'm not an expert, just my opinion!
