I did really like the movie, and it did have that silent hill feeling to it, what i think kind of made it such a dissapointment is the fact they pretty much changed all the charecters and their roles in the movie not to mention they replaced sh main religon with a different (more realistic one) and i think the whole bit about the cult and rebirth is one of the main factors of SH. However the monster cosplays in the movie were fucking Ace, specially pyramid head, lets hope the next film is better

Until he rapes you and beheads you at least. That's sort of a turn off for most people lol.
Honestly, judging by the fact that most video game based movies suck completely.. I thought the SIlent Hill movie was pretty good. It wasn't perfect, but I enjoyed it. I think if there should be any video game movies, they should be Silent Hill. Haha. Because honestly that's the only one I've seen so far that wasn't complete garbage.
@xscreechmasterx being a particularly pretty piece of coal in a field full of ugly pieces of coal doesn't make something a diamond. the film still sucked regardless of how many other video game movies sucked worse. it sucked, i think, mainly because of the way it demonstrated zero respect or understanding for the beautiful world the games had conjured up, up until that point. he just basically made a random monster movie and plonked bits of silent hill into it.
Hey... I can hear some really creepy exhaling. Reused from Silent Hill 3? :P It's cool how they don't just re-use characters or gameplay in sequels; they use music and ambient sounds, too.
I finished the game and got the Bogeyman Ending, therefore unlocking Alex with the Pyramid Head helmet...so I played again but with the helmet on and couldn't stop laughing when Judge Holloway said "You look well, by the way." XD
@tzero440 Because of his role in Silent Hill 2, his meaning. That is why he is so popular. Everything showing him or a copy of him after that butchered him and his meaning.
@zhoban He made in sense in Homecoming. Not sure about the movie. But he represented Alex's struggling relationship with his father, like when Pyramid head killed him.
He better not be in the next one, he is only supposed to be in SH2, he was a representation of the main characters guilt. He has no place in any other SH game.
@Hikutaify Well, there is that one ending for Homecoming when two Pyramid Heads place a separate half of a helmet onto Alex, thus turning him into one of them. And the inside is lined with spikes, which leads me to believe that the helmet doesn't become the head, but that the head is still inside it being pierced and stabbed by those spikes..
@WheelOfFate456 Many peoples hypothesis on PH is that he is the protagonist, he is their darkest thoughts and feelings, like when James sees him raping the monsters that is actually what James wants, so the general consensus is that PHs face looks like the protagonist.
@StopatnothingRamm As a fan I disliked the "feeling" of the movie, but I did love the characters and the creatures. As a movie viewer, i loved the movie altogether, although it does need a bit of improvements on relativity to the series.

Yeah, I'm hoping to see Pyramid Head again in the next one though.
There's just something about him...err..it...that makes me terrified.
I think it's the fact that I don't know what he looks like under the helmet.
