I was fortunate enough to meet Bill and Lily Colman on a train while visiting Europe in 1976. I still have the double sided business card he gave me..one side with his name...the other side with Lily's name. We spent 4 hours on the train together talking about Bills past career. I consider this event one of the best memories of my trip to Europe. Mr. Coleman was a master musician...a true legend. Thanks for posting this great video.
Not to knock two of his swing-era contemporaries, namely Roy Eldridge and Bunny Berigan, Bill Coleman certainly deserved more recognition.
