Bad clip for a brilliant song. I think I lost a flatmate over this song. I played it solid for about 6 months. My vinyl has the scratches to prove it. Still a fave on my ipod.
Another great song-love it-they look incredibly attractive in this-the clothes are still very very cool. Their sound is an enduring one-great to see this.
What a band! The best way to see the Sunnyboys was in a pub packed to the roof with punters. Great memories of a fat time in the Aussie live music scene.
I remember seeing this band with a guy from England. In those days, the English bands were carving them up. He was really looking forward to seeing them and when he did he wasnt dissapointed. He thought they should go to England which they did.
It was a new kind of sound,
Musically and stylistically, I thought they were way ahead of the curve in every respect.
My favourite Sunnyboys track, thanks for uploading. I was MAD about them in the '80s and saw them whenever I could. I recall playing this bass line in a swampy band I was in around 1987. Cool song.
these guys were from my own little home town of kingscliff, their folks had the local pizza place, we were about five years younger and they seemed impossibly cool.
That explains the pizza connection...Melaney and her brother owned a pizza joint in Newtown a few years ago.
Sunnyboys Rocked...my first fav 80's band...remember pumping their first album out of my battered HG kingswood sedan prior/post surf sessions at the Bra...long before the Bra boys wannabes rocked up.
Peter still has the Pizza shop in Newtown. It's called Wedgetail, and makes great thin crust hot oven pizzas. Peter is still flicking pans in the kitchen. What I wouldnt give for one last Sunnyboys show...
Yeah im nearly 50 still love all music but if you missed these guys , the saints , the riffles , I wish you hadn't. If anyone can get more of this stuff on the net THAT would be a blessing...TOO RIGHT. especially their faster stuff...so tight !
I feel a little sorry for the current younger generation, who, unfortunately won't see the brilliance that was the Sunnyboys, they live in Australian music folklore
agree with Adrian court. Think about it folks Watch this then look up the Dandy Warhols.

I always felt they were too good a band to have back up dancers in their video lol

@Blissbomb2 I agree, the 'dancers' were probably the record company's idea, I am sure The Sunnyboys couldn't care less, the music said it all.

What a cracker of a band and a riff, this is blokey pop. People have referenced them for years and I've never taken notice until now.

Great sound. Really appreciated bands like the Church, the Hoodoo Gurus and these guys back in the bleak synth pop-dominated 80's.
