  • agree with Adrian court. Think about it folks Watch this then look up the Dandy Warhols.

  • Bad clip for a brilliant song. I think I lost a flatmate over this song. I played it solid for about 6 months. My vinyl has the scratches to prove it. Still a fave on my ipod.

  • my dad, richard burgman, assures me that they were not told about the dancers

  • summer of 81, Paddo Town Hall, Sunnyboys, i was 15, fantastic gig such energy...

  • killer riff....great song

  • My kids think its hilarious that there is a band named after their favourite ice block. Great song - bought it on vinyl at the time. Ta for posting.

  • Always loved this sound

  • Cracking song! Australian Classic

  • Another great song-love it-they look incredibly attractive in this-the clothes are still very very cool. Their sound is an enduring one-great to see this.

  • @cattycakes64 scary i still dress like this :)

  • @Johnnyluxe Not scary Johnny just super cool and utterly intoxicating-keep up the good work.

  • I always felt they were too good a band to have back up dancers in their video lol

  • @Blissbomb2 I agree, the 'dancers' were probably the record company's idea, I am sure The Sunnyboys couldn't care less, the music said it all.

  • <<< is off to his local 2nd hand record shop ~smiles~

  • What a band! The best way to see the Sunnyboys was in a pub packed to the roof with punters. Great memories of a fat time in the Aussie live music scene.

  • Oh and how good is this video clip!

    Cheers poster

  • I remember seeing this band with a guy from England. In those days, the English bands were carving them up. He was really looking forward to seeing them and when he did he wasnt dissapointed. He thought they should go to England which they did.

It was a new kind of sound,

Musically and stylistically, I thought they were way ahead of the curve in every respect.

    Wonderful pop music.

  • My favourite Sunnyboys track, thanks for uploading. I was MAD about them in the '80s and saw them whenever I could. I recall playing this bass line in a swampy band I was in around 1987. Cool song.

  • What a cracker of a band and a riff, this is blokey pop. People have referenced them for years and I've never taken notice until now.

  • I found it ! This song came into my head this morning and I couldn't remember who sang it - thank you Google !

  • awesome :)

  • Great sound. Really appreciated bands like the Church, the Hoodoo Gurus and these guys back in the bleak synth pop-dominated 80's.

  • @sometimeworld Sooooooo right!!!!!

  • very, sadly, underated, were probably one of the best live bands in Australia circa 1981-1984

  • @adriancourt PROBABLY.!?! No, my friend... WERE!

  • APPLAUSE ! Thank you so much for posting his video. Love them for years and years.

  • Thanks Alphan, that takes me back years!! Woo!!

  • great riff...

  • I flogged this song from pillar to post! Great band that was very underated.

  • sorry the blond guitarist sorry i was spacing

  • i love this song does the drummer look alittle like graham Chapman from Monty Python?

  • jem oxley is still the man of music

  • They shoulda been contenda's!

  • Sorry, I meant intro not into

  • This is a powerhouse song with a great into by one of the best groups Australia has produced. Their music is quite unique and is timeless.

  • such strong songwriting for such a young band!

  • these guys were from my own little home town of kingscliff, their folks had the local pizza place, we were about five years younger and they seemed impossibly cool.

  • That explains the pizza connection...Melaney and her brother owned a pizza joint in Newtown a few years ago.

Sunnyboys Rocked...my first fav 80's band...remember pumping their first album out of my battered HG kingswood sedan prior/post surf sessions at the Bra...long before the Bra boys wannabes rocked up.

  • Peter still has the Pizza shop in Newtown. It's called Wedgetail, and makes great thin crust hot oven pizzas. Peter is still flicking pans in the kitchen. What I wouldnt give for one last Sunnyboys show...

  • Yeah im nearly 50 still love all music but if you missed these guys , the saints , the riffles , I wish you hadn't. If anyone can get more of this stuff on the net THAT would be a blessing...TOO RIGHT. especially their faster stuff...so tight !

  • I feel a little sorry for the current younger generation, who, unfortunately won't see the brilliance that was the Sunnyboys, they live in Australian music folklore

  • How cute is Jeremy?!

  • that is such an 80's clip! I quite like the song though! h qld

  • Aussie Mod stuff from th 80's..loved it and I was a Sydney Skinhead back then..Tony Jenkins was the Mod "Ace Face"
