Jeff really would have been a good F1 driver. I know that NASCAR is where his heart lies and rightfully so - but all the same, he clearly has the ability. If I were to recommend one European racer, in terms of versatility, who MIGHT have had a decent career in NASCAR, then I would have to say Frenchman Sebastien Bourdais. The man has raced in just about every series known to man, very successfully in many of them: Champcar, GT, F3000 etc. He got a raw deal in F1. Very adaptable driver. :-)
@SSGTrentsXe If you meant Jeff, then his skills would have been far more advanced in an F1 car if he'd gone down that path much earlier. If you meant Sebastien, then like I said, "decent career", not "Hall of Famer in waiting". Fact, is in NASCAR, the top 15 is good enough for a lucrative career. Johnson, Stewart, Harvick et al have the top spots sewn up.
this is what sets a racer apart from a champion...the ability to jump from a 3600 lb car to what 1700 and run just as good of lap as most f1 thats a true champion
@oldsiamsir24 the only thing he had an advantage of was the tc . he is a good driver of course . but i think the jump from a cage to a open wheel is too muchat that point in his career
OH MY GOD, HOW DO I TURN RIGHT?!

@azapro911 He would of been as good as Juan. By that, I mean average. It wouldn't stand a chance against the Top 5 and you know it.

@azapro911 Everything you just said about SB is so true. Really underrated and one of the guys the end of champcar hurt the most.

No way he wouldn't have been a Champion in the right car. For him to just go out for the first time and be a second off is proof.
