The only reason the pros like CR7 do the hot water trick or whatever is because they wear new boots on a normal occasion. and not a new pair every season like us

@messi12317 I'm guessing the idea is that the warm water will help break in the shoes. It will do this, but I don't recommend it. All you need to do with your boots is wash them with a towel and water, not submerged, dry them and put leather food on them. If they are not leather, just wash them with a towel and water.

I wouldn't do this, if you want your boots to mold your feet or gain flexibility, just keep wearing them. All i know is that leather gets stiff over period of time if wet and dried repetitively. I maybe wrong.
