  • leta clap our hand for the 7018 professional here,, purebread undercut all that was

  • I have a question for you about the cap pass in the 6g position...how can i keep the 7018 from becoming to converse on the botom? is it a fater sweep thru the center or what? please help me with this.

  • Heyu buddy your getting there, to make the test harder gid rid of the backing strip and try a root pass with the same 7018/7016 3/32 or 1/8 rod in an open root configuration, i am a coded 6g welder and this is a difficult weld to do , its easy with a 6010 or a 6011 rod but with a Low Hy much more difficult now that you have got a feel for the backed weld try a weld without the backing

  • this guy welds pretty good and i havent seen many other student welders brave enough to bring a camera into the both so to the haters post or shut it.Have you watched all hiss vids i have and they have helped me alot.Good jod dude and thanks for posting. I have some quetions about the open root pass on pipe in the 6g position and any advice you can give would be cool. thanks, mike

  • i passed my root first using a 6010 and then i learned how to use a backing strip. i wouldve liked to see each set of stringers it couldve helped me figure out my problem.

  • When i had to test I was tested with the 1/8 rods for all three passes, and past my certification test

  • When i had to test I was tested with the 1/8 rods for all three passes, and past my certification test

  • mmmmmm def had a backin sooo 3/32 roots/hot then 1/8 7018 out if he showed the back u would see the backin wow u dumass . gooood welding man

  • Every beveled plate I have taken a plate test on, I was required to weld the root pass with a 1/8 6010 rod for horizontal, vertical and overhead. My hot pass, filler and cap was with a 1/8 7018.

  • @tynstaci WE USE A 6010 AND ON ARE FILL AND CAPS WE USE A 7018 3/32 I DNT NO IF THERE IS THAT MUCH OF A DIFF BUT DAMN I JUST REALLY DNT LIKE THOSE FLEMSEY RODS KEEP YOUR HOOD DOWN AND KEEP REACHING FOR THE STARS

  • @bobmths LoL u use 6010 hahaha.... tel ur trianor he's not a real trianor FiLL pass is E7018(2.6mm) capping pass is E7018(3.2mm) and root pass is E6011 teL ur trianor GO to METAPHIL

  • show the back next time

  • blow on it haha:P

  • ha! i can stand straight up when i am welding

  • 6010 is not a low hydrogen electrode and can not be used in structural applications.. Only electrodes ending in 5,6,8 are low hydrogen. 6010 is used in open root pipe applications because of its fast freezing weld. where did you get your training from shop class. raverfag

  • where are you training at b/c they aren't doin a very good job. your welds look great dont get me wrong but 7018 rods arent suppose to be used for root passes bc they dont have to penitration that a 6010 have

  • 7018 are you used you dumbass f4 pipe ticket is 7018 the whole way through root hot pass fill and cap maybe u need better training

  • lol im 17 so srry yet i still do a better job. maybve you shoulda got started earlier [=
