You play the same silly white boy drum kit shuffle for the whole video. Do you know a single Cuban, Bossa Nova, Samba, Reggae, Jazz, R&B, Funk, Soul, African, Guaguanco, Afro Cuban 6/8, or simple tumbao rhythm??? Even 1? I bet on every single song you play this silly white boy shuffle derivative.
@ElCubanoConguero you're clearly an asshole. Listen to the whole thing before posting such ignorance to an obviously skilled player. Then you'll hear some changes. Besides, he's just showing his kit, not all the different styles he can play.
@thepdrl this is bull ca-ca and you are a faggot for liking it you piece of crap. it hurt my ears. this fag doesn't even know how to play percussion - he's just hitting things like a white boy drummer. stick to faggot drum kit bitches
@ElCubanoConguero You just proved my point. You are indeed an asshole. And perhaps a racist too. But I have found our exchanges entertaining. Thanks for that El Cubano Conguero. Your brand new pal, the piece of crap faggot.
Great Time keeping! I'm inspired. I have a djembe, darbouka, and some shakers for the hi-hat. Add some jungles to the bass drum. Can't wait to work on it.
Cool! One thing that I would liked to see, is more use of the splash in weird little places, rather than always being smacked every 4 measures. You know, mix up the beat a little more within the groove, but very nicely done! Nice foot control.
i think he has his reasons for doing that. he needs to emphasize the accent on the downbeat just like a crash cymbal would since he only has this small set up. i think most drummers with this kind of set up (if there are any) would do the same thing.u
Sounds really good!!! I just personally like to hear solo work progress fluidly into different directions, lest it become a bit mundane to the listening audience. One thing I love, (out of MANY), about Dave Weckl, is how he always finds amazing little placements of spash and tom hits in the midst of his groove. It shows such creativity, and a continual thought process. The man is an ALIEN! I am sure that doing such, and keeping the strong downbeat are both do-able.
very nice set and playing but,isn't this splash gonna rust ?

Excellent job. Keeping off beats on the hats really makes it groove.

Very nice dude. Solid grooves, cool set up. LP makes those bodyless conga heads. Might make a nice addition.

@onnie9summers
some hand drummers wrap tape "boxer's hand tape" on their fingers to give a harder, more "stick-like" sound
