watching this makes me smile. i am also self taught (other then a workshop here or there) and i love to see someone else who is doing so well with this method. one thing i love about watching self taught dancers is that they have a style all there own.

Bert Balladine always said "this is a woman's dance, you need the life of experience of a woman to truly show the passion of the dance", eg 35yo or more. All I can say watching this gorgeous young girl is that she is going to be truly amazing when she is brings her life experience to the dance. Well done Ferah!! Keep dancing.

I think Samoudra would of had the same thoughts. Age out of the equation, she is by far a wonderful performer. I understand what Samoudra means about life experience as I have seen young girls trying to perform dances that are obviously more appropriate for older women. This girl is dancing to suit her age and life experience at the time. When she is older she will have a wider reportoir and understanding to add to her dancing. Once she has the freedom to explore womanhood - she will fly.
