We just had an EF4 tornado in my area of Toledo, Ohio on June, 5th 2010. The tornado hit at night time around 11:30 and then another huge storm came at around 3am. Milbury, Ohio looks like a warzone...It's very sad. Hugs from Toledo, Ohio!!!
We had a tornado here in the area of Toledo, Ohio about one month ago. Millbury, Ohio still looks like a war zone, it is very sad. Everytime we have a bad storm or tornado warning I get so scared.
Seriously though, I remember this one well. It cut a path from Petit Jean Mountain all the way into Sharp County, 123 miles total. And it was rated EF4, as a tornado is always rated according to the strongest damage along its path, even if some spots receive lesser damage.
i was in that thing, me and a friend sat in the bathroom for like an hour, luckly it didnt hit our side of mountain view, we didnt even know a tornado had actually hit till the next day when we got out and drove around and seen the damage..there was tons of damage on the other side of town, couldnt even tell we had a chevy dealership, it was wiped clean to the concrete slab
Everyone should consider themselves lucky that one wasnt a wedge. A F4 wedge over a half mile wide destroyed half of a town south of here (Arkadelphia) in 97. Wedges are the worst because they cover large areas and can take up to 20 seconds to pass over.
It was a wedge at one point. Not here, it was more of a cone shape, but from some other reports it was reported that it reached from 1\2 mile to a mile wide. Scary!
Man thats a wild video. Night time twisters are the worst. Even when the lightning flashes and you can see the bastard you still cant tell which way its going. I'd be all elbows in the other damn direction!
It's creepy that you can freeze frame around the 15 second mark and the lightning turns everything to broad daylight. You can see everything perfectly. Even creepier to see that monster in the distance.
LOL they sound so country!!

Dunno which seems creepier in the light: the tornado or the lone tree.

I live in Melbourne and I was a little worried when they said it was heading towards us. :( I went to Ozarka to seek shelter and it barely missed us!
