But I must say that she did NOT miss the last note. She was right on pitch. What she did was "scoop" up to it which is NOT a crime for fuck's sake. All singers scoop at one time or another and I give you Sarah Brightman for an example. No one scoops more than she does now but she's still a great singer. Niki is a great singer too and everyone with an ear knows that.

I should have said, "Danni is right, and it's obvious Niki doesn't have perfect pitch." I don't either, but I've been a musician all my life and I know when someone sings flat or sharp on a pitch. Niki does it enough that I find myself cringing, waiting on the flat pitch I know is coming. Again, I love Niki's voice, her power and emotion. But she sings some notes flat and that's a fact.

Ok let me say that I just found Niki this morning browsing through past X vids. She has an incredibly beautiful voice and sings with passion and emotion. Several songs I had to wipe tears from my eyes. But I guarantee when she went into the studio they autotuned her because she sings notes at the end of phrases flat. Danni is right, and It's obvious she doesn't have perfect pitch. Don't get me wrong if she tours America I'll go to her concert she's a great singer w/o question but she sings flat.

Accuracy, accuracy, accuracy. We have to have accuracy. At 53s the first of the notes fail, the next a few secs later. It starts to make me breathless it hurts so much. Niki knows how to do it but here she slides just far too much. But she is growing, developing theatricality, and dressing up very nicely. Simon says 1m times better, but it's got a million times more to go. I'm writing this 2 years later and I hope she's having success - she's gone commercial - and I hope she does this again. 5/

yea, you know Danni, there's only three notes that were significantly out of tune, so it wasn't out of tune the whole way. plus the last note was fine, it wasn't out of tune, it was only a bit hesitant. Tho Danni, as a judge, is not required to be amazing at singing, she is, however, required to speak truly.
