  • 15:00 Oh my GOOOOOOOOOOOOOODD

  • Note to theists:

When you're trying to disprove science as being flawed because it's merely a belief system, please don't disprove it with bible quotes.

  • If there were a way to be an atheist Saint, I'd nominate Russ and Jen. I couldn't have that much patients.

The last caller really thinks not letting a Christian lie, or say something totally false is really an attack?

  • The first caller was unable to to come to grasp with "proof of God". Moron.

  • There is a city called "Atlanta" and it did burn in the Civil War, ergo "Gone with the Wind" is a true story.

If God designed the universe and life so perfectly then why is Orion's belt crooked, and why do humans have tailbones?

Any "proof" that begins with "I believe" should go something like this:

Caller:"I can prove God exists because I believe..." *click* AE host: "Goodbye, Moron"

I've been reading the book "Liars for Jesus," which I recommend to any American.

  • Why do you spend so much time attacking religion? Well, why do American soldiers spend so much time attacking the terrorists? Same reason.

  • quit funny this

  • the bible says about atheist's There is no one who does good!

No one understands or seek God.

All have turned away, know nothing.

They are corrupt, their deeds are vile.

No absolute sense of morality or justice

    Depraved mind and body

  • @getalife67 That's called propaganda. If you don't follow our bullshit you must be the worst person in the world. But guess what, most atheists are pretty nice. Do you ever think how your life got owned by a stupid book, written in the bronze age by a bunch of tribal savages, in the remote, superstitious parts of the middle east.

  • @getalife67 My personal relationship with Sesame Street is just a valid as your relationship with a God that doesn't exist. So don't mock Sesame Street .

  • @getalife67 the bible also says, in the book of exodus, chapter 21:

20 “Anyone who beats their male or female slave with a rod must be punished if the slave dies as a direct result, 21 but they are not to be punished if the slave recovers after a day or two, since the slave is their property.

  • @getalife67 Look up countries like Sweden and Japan, most peaceful, advanced and happy countries in the world, the majority of their population are atheists, now look up countries like Sudan, Somalia, Indonesia, extreme violence, genocide, civil unrest, bad educaton, low happiness, the list goes on, even the US has an incredibly high murder and rape rate; guess what? Those nations are highly religious.

    ;D

If you make a claim, make sure you research it first.

  • People call in the show, ask questions or raise their point of view, and get a response from the hosts. How is that not dialogue?

  • I'm curious if this guy knows about the disasters that hit the world. Flood, plague, fire, asteroids, famine, war, and all those other happy little shit.

  • I don't get what he's trying to say with the "when you take the derivative of something that approaches infinity..." ...what then? I suspect that none of those guys have any significant insight into mathematics (or science for that matter)

  • Sam is reading directly off of a website... What a dupe. Don't these idiots realize that the AE hosts are sitting in front of computers? Don't give them regurgitated crap that's been torn down over and over, give them something that they've never heard! In other words... smoke up first! lol

  • @luke8670 "I don't get the climbing a mountain to see the earth is a circle."

What she was referring to was seeing the "curvature" of the Earth to realize it isn't flat. Somebody sitting at sea level can see this just by looking out at the ocean. It's why you see the mast of ship first on the horizon before you can see the rest of the ship... sea-goers knew of this in ancient times, which is why it's ridiculous that the bible called the Earth flat... anybody looking at the ocean can see its not

  • wait, this isn't a Game Of Thrones episode 732?! no wonder there wasn't a debate about the validity of the Seven Gods.

  • Epic fail at 17:23 Stepping on someone trying to point. Whether it was dumb or not.

  • Game of Thrones FTW! Haha!

  • To expand on the coment that population growth was relatievly flat for millions of years.

Taking a look at growth patterns we find that there is a direct link between Population Growth and food supplies. The Creationist argument about population rates fails to take into account that before 10,000 B.C.E. here was no agriculture as a food source.

  • I don't get the climbing a mountain to see the earth is a circle. I've never really noticed it in thousands of hours flying at 30,000 feet. Not to mention you won't last long enough to climb much higher than 18,000 feet. But of course there really isn't someone sitting on the earth anyway.

  • @luke8670 I think the caller is referring to Isaiah 40:22, where it mentions the 'circle' of the earth, which is a flat shape, not a sphere as we know the earth is, it's a misquote. He seems desperate to prove the bible has revealed science, in fact it runs contrary to known science. I agree that it would be hard to see the curvature of the earth from great heights, shame Matt wasn't on the show for that question...

  • @ianjrivers Thanks. But how can a circle be a flat shape? A circle with a visible atmosphere I mean. I take it there are talking about the ground which is the level flat shape.

  • @luke8670 I would understand the scripture reference to describe Earth as a circular flat shape , like a coin, facing up. these writers were just using their imagination to describe the world they saw.

  • @ianjrivers A circle is flat, the earth isn't... if they wanted to describe the earth as a sphere they would have said a ball... this shows the lack of scientific understanding they had back then...

they also said the Earth had four corners/edges and is on pillars... and that the wicked might get shaken off of it and fall off into space... can you explain that? Or what about the sun rising and setting and "hurrying" back to where it rises? And Earth not being able to move? We are on an orbit!

  • @shadesters I totally agree ...

  • @ianjrivers yea sorry, I thought you were defending their use of the word "circle" and then I read the comments on page 2 and realized you didn't agree with it... my bad

  • @shadesters That's nice of you, thanks....

  • SUBMIT TO BUDDAH OR BURN FOREVER!

  • Lmao "we don't have faith based engineering" thank fuck for that.

  • There are 12.000-year-old ruins in South America. That is the only explanation you need.

  • @zeldaofarel

We can also throw in 11,000 years worth of Treering records =)

  • For the record, the Bible doesn't say the Earth is a sphere, it refers to the "circle of Earth". People thought the Earth was flat and flat objects still have a shape. What were they to think that shape was? A parallelogram? A trapezoid? An octahedron?

No, a circle is the most natural shape so they thought the Earth was a DISC.

And the Earth isn't perfect for life, life is adapted to Earth's conditions.

    These arguments are fatally flawed.

  • show starts at 6:21

  • Lmao, at 26:00 after all that he says "still, it doesn't matter cos god made everything with age" what a fucking Moron!!!

  • the first caller...

    =_=

Can't tell if hes a troll..

    or pure stupid

  • This kid is an idiot and why the Hell do Christians start whining when ever their arguments get crushed. Grow up, damn!

  • I can't stand when Christians whine about being attacked after trying to assert their stupidity.

  • Mount Etna - Rock age = 500,000 years

  • I like these people.

  • It's funny how atheist rather choose hell than believing in God. Just saying no need to argue and get hot headed haha

  • @lc1526 its funny that christians dont see that budism is the right religion and chooses hell... so funny!

  • @gangsterper I never said I was a Christians but you just assume I was. I never said buddism is wrong and will go to hell.

  • @lc1526 i never said you where a christian... you just assumed that i said you where

  • @gangsterper Buddhism has its religious aspect. To deny that is very ignorant. Unless you believe in rebirth...

  • @robinvan1983 True, but not a god concept.

  • @gangsterper Buddhists don't believe in a heaven, hell or any Gods, they are essentially atheists, maybe using Islam, Judaism or Hunduism would have been a much better analogy.

  • @lc1526 if there is no god, then there also is no hell, and there is no good reason to actually believe in a god unless there is also good evidence for there being one.

I know many christians have problems with logic, but noone would choose hell if there was a choice. Me myself, i choose reality over fantasy.

  • @lc1526 "atheist rather choose hell than believing in God." aTheists do not choose hell cos they do not believe in hell either.! HOw do you know that your god is the real one among hundreds.>?

  • @SOAS007 Wow I guess there's hundreds of God out there in the world huh? If you could name all of them I applaud you. haha I never said anything about my God is the real God. You Atheist is funny to argue with haha

  • @lc1526 "Wow I guess there's hundreds of God out there in the world huh? " yup, there are millions of books, thousands of films, I cannot name them all, but they are referenced. You must have heard of many of them you are 'aTheistic' towards. aTheists are consistant in that they reject all theistic claims. Early christians worshiped more than one god too.! "You Atheist is funny to argue with haha" Glad to bring some humour to your day innit! :-)

  • @lc1526 I fully expect to not exist when I die... hell would be a bonus.

  • To theists a thought experiment.

Imagine you're god, before you created time and space.

You're holding a rubber ball that you must now put aside so that you can start creating time and space.

Where do you put the rubber ball?

  • @baldurus1

    In his ass lol.

  • @megadeth1056 If there's no space he can't put it in his ass.

  • Comment removed

  • @megadeth1056 It's not about gods powers, it's about the rubber ball which is a physical object with dimensions. First god would have to create space in which he could put the rubber ball. But that is just as difficult because space is also a physical object just like the rubber ball. So he would have to create space for the space for the rubber ball. But then he would have to create space for the space for the space etc. etc. etc. Plus omnipotence is a contradiction and a logical fallacy.

  • Comment removed

  • @megadeth1056 Not really, with billions of galaxies, and billions of planets with the basic ingredients for life like carbon and hydrogen etc. What would really be amazing is if life hadn't got started on at least one of those billions of planets.

  • "hello i'm the nostalgia critic and i remember it so you don't have to"

  • If I hosted this show, I'd have to be drunk. Conversations with theists is maddeningly circular.

  • 17:16 "I believe what the geologists say happened" Standards are slipping.

  • I don't know if there's any argument that gets under my skin more than the "open mind" argument that Spence brought up.

The state of my mind, whether it be opened or closed, has no bearing on what is real. Why can't they get that? I mean, if I'm closed minded against gravity, will I shoot off into space?

"Yes, I am closed minded towards your backwards way of thinking, and GODDAMMIT, I am proud to be closed minded of that. Now, go away!"

  • I've been trough just the opposite of Anthony. I was nonconformist with the Catholic Church's history, the I became an Atheist, and the I get skeptical on UFO talles, Homeopaty, Spiritism...

Calabria - São Paulo - Brazil

  • How can faith in a single deity have morals? It's belief in a being you've never seen. Nor spoken to. Your religion, your Bible is where you get your morals from. You chose to follow a few. But no the majority and you still call yourself a Christian.

  • Not only was the US not based on "christian values" it was founded as secular society. Because the monarchy reigned supreme and used Christianity and God as the reason they were in power. God wanted them there. It's why they escaped and founded America. It's why every American can carry a gun. Why there is a separation of "Church and State". These freedoms and many others are why I wanted to live in your country up until recently. I just can't justify moving when your country is so unstable atm.

  • I like Majeed!

  • lol there's an atheist-muslim, the crazy right-wingers have been on about those for ages!

  • I feel so sorry for this guys kids. Can you imagine how brainwashed they will be. I dont see this caller being able to explain other this as well (non-religious) can you imagine this called trying to explain other cultures to his children, or basic science. No Son the earthquake isnt plates moving. Its gods tummy ache. Or god mad that we dont worship him enough....an yes its a coincidence all earthquakes happen on faults Son.

  • Now Jenn, Certain Levees in a southern city that will remain nameless were clearly done by "Faith Based" engineers.

  • "Six thousand year engineering" LOL

  • Russel and Jen with fancy dressing. You should do that more often :)

  • I preferred the smaller clips of the better parts of the show. Meh.

  • To that last caller...they TRY to have an open dialogue with the callers, but it's the religious types that get in the way of that, not the host/co-host. Also, "open dialogue" does not mean that the person calling gets their own virtual pulpit to spew whatever nonsense they want...if they're talking out their ass (like most do), they'll get called on it

  • What does it mean to say "keep people around who love you", if those people hate you for your atheism?

  • Wow. Sam, if you believe this is the only planet with life on it, why is that? Because there's no evidence of life elsewhere. If you can understand that , then you understand why atheists don't believe.

  • "It was only meant for life here" WOW can a sane reasonable human believe that in billions of galaxies each with millions of stars there is ONLY this one tiny grain of sand on an endless beach that has life? Can one get more stupid than that??

  • @mimikawaii7386 - Unfortunately, yes people can get more stupid than that.

  • @mnkittel ...human stupidity is amazing.

  • hahahahhahahah i can't even get past the first caller, just how he keeps stumbling and stuttering over all his words while he tries to think up something that might work.

  • I dream of the day when "The Atheist Experience" goes to broadcast tv.

YEs, it may be a pipe-dream, but it's a dream nonetheless.

  • @ElvisKnucklehead then TV producers would become involved and probably turn it into a sitcom...

  • @ElvisKnucklehead - In our current political environment, that would take a miracle not even Jesus could perform.

  • That creationist's argument against any scientific claim appears to be "nuh-uh".

"Carbon dating is good to a point in time."

    "Nuh-uh."

"Radiometric dating techniques converge on a point in time."

    "Nuh-uh."

    Tit.

  • lol you can HEAR the caller's tiny brains melting.

  • Sam sounds like he's 15...

  • Comment removed

  • the caller with a 6k yo view of the universe cites a 21k year old rock as an proof debunking CD technology. How did that get past Jen?

  • I'm really beginning to think there needs to be a creationist time limit so much of these programs get wasted with listening to creationist talking points that everyone has heard before, just my opinion, creationist are a waste of valuable air time.

  • Sam is a genius compared to normal cretards I've seen on youtube.

  • kudo's to the atheist experience guys, they need to defend so many areas of science and must know so many different things about it, good work i couldn't do it.

  • I don't think you should believe whatever you want to believe. I think you should only believe in what is demonstrably true.

  • Creationism is a stupid as... ummm...creationists..

  • Spence if a fucking dimwit.

  • lol...sam got raped. But anyways, I have spoken with far dumber christians then Sam.

  • I honestly couldn't bring myself to even have a conversation with a young earth creationist. They are way too far removed from reality.

  • I appreciate how all AE hosts can hear these arguments & not go balistic over the level of stupidity thrown at them. It isnt a skill I have. I cannot hear someone call this a Christian nation without expressing how much of a dumbass I think the caller is. That patience & humility itself is a skill. I would be a terrible, hostile host. Thankfully I dont have your job. But we appreciate it & keep up the good work.

  • Bible, accurate? yeah sure Bats are birds

  • I love Russ and Jenn but they were way too nice with Sam. I would've loved to see Matt destroy him.

  • @ItsMeDauntless I agree.

  • OCCUPY THE VATICAN!!

Pope calling for world bank. Hmmmm

    Born in debt

    Born in sin

Sell the vatican, feed the world.

  • POPULATION IS DEPENDENT ON FOOD SUPPLY! Ugh. If there's food supply for 1M people, and you have 2M people, then 1M people will starve to death. If you have food for 2M people, and only have a population of 1M, then the population will double very quickly. We have the number of people on this planet today not because people breed at a certain rate, we have a number of people on this planet because our FOOD SUPPLY has increased at a certain rate.

  • I challenge creationists to find one dating method that says the Earth is 6000 years old. Just know that if your method is "Biblical dating", then I WILL call you a moron and pelt you with tomatoes.

  • @MunkyDrag0n smart one, I will use this to smash creationists egos into tiny bits :D

  • @MunkyDrag0n I like tomatoes too much to do that to them.

  • Cientists know that radiometric dating is unaccurate, but even with this margin of error, the Earth age is between 3 and 6 billion years

  • @naytyn These times are long past. The newest data are afaik from May 2010 and these are: 4.44...4.51 billion Y. That means an incertainty of just 70 million Y iow 1.5% this is AWESOME!

  • wow the cultural muslim atheist was cool. Good luck to him.

  • OOooomg! I love your guys shirts!! I got one like that as well.

  • When he got into galaxies they should have nailed him at that point... how far away does he think galaxies are? All less than 6,000 light years?

  • Did anyone consider that the Mt Etna carbon dating done by the creationist could be floored in the respect that Etna is a volcano... and is spewing new material all the time. The Dating methods we use today would show any basalt (igneous rock) to be young material if it was picked from a young area of the volcanos reach.

  • @CyberNeticRodent flawed :p

  • design is perfect. . .

really ever given birth to a child? Design ain't perfect caller if there was we humans would birth children like marupials in a handy pouch rather than pushing out a baby thats the size of a melon through a space the size of a lemon.

  • I cant believe what a bad idea creationism is

  • The degree of stupidity FROM this caller is overwhelming .

  • Comment removed

  • 21:30 If the proof for inaccuracy of CD was an artifact known to be 21k years, then his other claims of a 6k yo creation event are necessarily false

  • You guys need a Matt Dillahunty soundboard in there.

  • When will people realise that using a philosophical concept/ political or cultural idea from a relgion is not the same as accepting the faith as a whole -

a good legal system should include 'thou shalt not kill/steal' and a good moral system could include 'do unto others...'. But some muslim ideas are also good too - community solidarity, yearly charitable donations etc. Some buddhist meditation techniques are useful.

NONE of these statements mean I accept any theist claims

  • @discipleoftheteapot

All of those philosophical and humanist concepts exist independently of religion. What religion does is borrows common or inherent human ideas such as "do unto others" that are innate in us, injects its perspective and then tries to tell us those concepts are given to us by a god.

That alone would be bad enough, but the concepts tend to get corrupted in the process with inherent and immoral religious themes such as absolute morality, faith, dogmatic prejudice, etc.

  • @AntitheistPOV that is my point - people who suggest we would lose these in a world without religion, as if they are contingent on a faith-based worldview, are being ridiculous. However, because these ideas have been historically associated with religion it is necessary to explain to the religious that we are not 'borrowing' christian values - as some apologists would like to claim.

  • you could have rolfpwned the first caller much harder.

"isah said the earth is round"

" yes, and it said it's FLAT!'

  • My Dog, how many times do they have to prove to these idiots that creationism is a load of bullcrap ?!? It's getting repetitive, even if the hosts are awesome. -_-

  • Jen you are awesome, Russell you too

  • The like/dislike bar looks like a lightsaber can opener.

  • @tallskinnygeek contrast that with most thiest videos (that don't know how, or dont bother disabling the ratings) in a majority Christian nation. Most of those look like Sith Lightsabers!

  • @OLDSKOOLNYC1

The internet is a very non religious place

  • Hello from San Antonio!

  • Argh! brain explosion! You cond carbon date basalt! Carbon dating is for organic material! o_O

  • @WavegirlThinks

    *cant

  • Sooo fail... agh!

  • Do you see what I just did? I made a mistake typing and I corrected it.

  • That last caller was fucking idiot.

  • OMFG, not only is there ACTUALLY an "Index of Creationist Claims" containing *every* creationist claim ever made AND its correct debunk, but Russell had a copy ON SET, *AND* was able to use it to head off at least one of dude's claims. OMFG, that is HILARIOUS! loo

  • And that first caller failed hard.

  • It wasn't until mankind starting settling down into organized settlements that we began to experience sizable population growth.

  • So deserved the win!!!

  • I missed this show!

  • majeed if you read the comments, check out some books by more popular atheists. seems like you're just starting on this path and it should help alot.

  • 56:00 is the best Quote I've heard in a while.

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • i hope sam keeps calling, he seems like the next person to be converted by this show.

  • 15:30 Splendid

  • I love listening to creationists - stupidity is always a good source of entertainment.

  • @muzvh1

Its like Americas funniest home videos, always full of idiots :)

  • I don't know how I missed this one off the site last week O.o

  • Contd.. In addition, how do they retain such identities after transcendence from the body when it's already been exhibited that such are so very vulnerable to the physical world we know? Who are we without our minds(which are limited to the tangible realm.. which cant be contradicted since, as already stated, innate identity can flux based on external circumstance-external meaning beyond individual control and not necessarily outside self)

  • Id like to see a theist explain innate identity(term I just made up xD).. Personal identity/personality/inherent disposition that dictates the merit of their "souls" in terms of opening their door to heaven. Hormones, chemicals, synaptic interplays/interactions constitute a person's behavioral patterns. After an accident, disease, etc, ppl have done 180s in cognitive/mental/psychological exhibitions. So due to external circumstance they lose their pass to heaven?

  • I don't think the first caller's dumb at all. I actually think he was trolling them for all that time, and he's really an atheist himself. Kind of like those guys who call religious talk shows and act stupid on purpose. Or a kid who acts possessed for attention. If I'm wrong though, it's not the first time, but for me, being wrong means there will be somebody out there to correct me.

  • Haha.. Oh Sam

  • What's the 5th sunday of the month? o.O

  • Hahaha....that caller was hilarious. He says that the universe looks young, and THEN after getting backed into a corner, he says, "it doesn't matter, because God made the universe with an appearance of age" to totally contradict his first statements.

  • 10:00 .... "so, the people who sweat blood today are Jesus?" LOL!

  • thumb up if you routinely skip the first 5 min of announcements. thumb down if you hate thumb up requests. :)

  • There is no god in Capitalism either.

  • they spend to much time on some callers, in discusions that dont go anywhere...

  • bitch*

  • Lol at 18:50.....he just pwned that bith

  • Omg I never even though of that Egypt and Noah thing... interesting :D

  • First caller... wow, this idiot is word for word, pure brainwashed creationist website indoctrinated dolt. He hasn't a fucking clue.

  • The stupidity of the first caller is astounding -___-
