  • quick question. at 1:45 you said to go half note down to F Sharp from the G root note. Is this the same for all chords, or am I missing something from a previous lesson?

  • learning a scale up and down 1 string is not very practical when it comes to soloing, although it does have its uses. and that is not the complete diminished scale anyway, there just notes from the diminished appeggio.

  • wow thanks man :D

  • LMFAO at 0:00 bobby sounds like a milf :D Hiii

  • Bobby, how much did this guitar cost you and would it be suitable for Eb with 10 gauge strings?

  • Man thank you very much! Now i can create solos easier than before!

  • I'm pretty sure this is a diminished arpeggio, not a diminished scale.

  • @CompulsiveOrigami exactly, it just a diminshed appeggio played on one string, although some of the ways he plays it sound kinda kewl.

  • RANDY RHOADS!

  • Hey Bobby I have a question, How many guitars do you have ?

    I love this one !

  • Hey Bobby I really like your vids...could you do video on 80's heavy metal solo improvisation

With Like different lick variations to make solos it'd be cool...thanks for your time

  • Your tabs are wrong. My tab book says otherwise. :P

  • im not an expert on all the theory yet so forgive me for asking. Wot situation would you use a diminished scale as opposed to a minor natural or a pentatonic?

  • you sound like mclovin

  • very simple and very helpful, thanks for the post=)

  • nice lesson, thanks

  • can you explain what makes the diminished scale "diminished"?

is it because every note in its major-scale counterpart is flatted?

  • nice shirt

  • glad to have ya back bob

  • @commanderdope turn the gain to the highest and the treble to the highest and lower your bass and use the bridge pickup

  • Good to see you're back you bloody legend!

  • Thanks for the lesson!!!!

  • I wonder if u can pleaseee someday make a guitar lesson for the shredding part of black widow of la port by john5 there's not a single guitar lesson 4 it!!!! pleaseee dude help me out I know u can :)

  • Ya should do some more challenging lessons, and lessons from more challenging songs ;) Because I don`t find these lessons very useful, maybe because I have learned these things long time ago... So, yes you must make easy lessons for beginners, but make also hard lessons for players, who alkready know the basics. You know! ;) Rock on!

  • @97MrSlash ....if you want a more challenging lesson, then just play what's in this video 10 times faster :-)

  • more lessons like this would be great, you could show us some common riffs you use in improv solos

  • I have the Laiho 200 also and i LOVE it

  • when he plays that diminished lick on the high e string. It reminds me of the Rhandy Rhoads solo in the tribute album

  • dimished runs are such a bitch

  • hey bob could u do a tutorial on blues solos, like when they start in high notes and go down in tone(ex: start in 15 1st string and end in 3 6th string) please :D

  • wicked shirt

  • isnt the diminished scale made up of alternating half and whole steps? just curious bcuz i learned the diminished scale was the same as an octatonic scale. where this is just ascending minor thirds.

  • What tuning are you on?
