Ah, come on?! You were a local! How 'bout the man from Timbuktu who's watching? I said that I was "near" ... not "on". Mt. Whitney towers several thousand feet above Alabama Hills, which are on the eastern slope of the Sierra Nevadas. Which now that you mention it, maybe, I should put that in my keywords, too! People from Lone Pine are nice, btw. One of the nicest McDonalds that I have ever seen, sincerely. Beautiful painted-murals on it...
Sight of that impenetrable wall of mountains in front of them was the reward the first white settlers got for trying to take a short cut through Death Valley to the west coast. Awesome, but they had to go around the long way anyway.
Lone Pine McDonalds? Stuck in the drive-thru for 40 minutes. 3rd strike, slow rude service the first two times.
About the only thing I can think of to criticize about that wonderful place. Except for the gasoline prices. Fill up in Bishop or Ridgecrest.
The longest that I've ever been stuck in line at a McDonald's was 20 minutes. So, what happened over there?! Could have gone to Carl's Jr., the other end of town. Or the Mt. Whitney Diner. I got a T from there, gave to my mom. Well, not too many food choices for sure but, I don't wish to write a long novel here. Thanks for stopping by. When I get around to it, I'll make another vid of the Mts. I used some footage of it already for that Kohl's contest. Well, it sure is beautiful out there...
Thank you. Yeah, the journey ... dreams ... Nice way of looking at it. Hey, did you hear Randy Pausch passed away, professor at Carnegie Mellon University, among many things? He gave one of the best lectures that I've heard on YouTube, spoke on his journey and childhood dreams. Some of the things he touched upon, I can't seem to get out of my head.
I did a collaboration video with Bastiaan77 - from Netherlands. We emailed back and forth a lot and one thing I learned from him is that 'yes' Netherlands is FLAT... I don't know if you can get more flat!!! ;)
I sent him pictures of Denver Colorado (do google search on it and look for images) and it's quite a remarkable difference...
Good to hear from someone in the Netherlands! Have a nice weekend!
Well, it's nice to stop and say "hello" every once in-a-while to the animals along the way...nice to take that time out and enjoy the simplicity of life. Thanks for watching...
Nice!!
