I remember watching when it first came out in theatres. I was 57 years old, and it was just so maaagical when you found out that little green dude is Yoda and you hear Obi Ones voice saying "So was I when you taught me" as that smoothing music sets in the back ground. So amazing, so maaaagical, and it seemed like a mystery to me, such an amazing maaagical feeling. Then the GODDAM prequels came out and ruined EVERYTHING! Worst than the holocaust!!

@KingOfMadCows Little philosophy here, one with a high midichlorian count can just as much become a Sith, or follow their own path. Just like a man who can bench a lot isn't necessarily a master martial artist.

@RedDragonShard But the man who can bench a lot at least had to work to be able to do that. Someone with high midichlorian is naturally good at manipulating the Force. There's also the fact that Force users can sense each other so the probability of someone with high midichlorian becoming either a Jedi or a Sith is much greater. The introduction of midichlorians suggests that the Jedi and Sith are a bunch of innately "superior" beings that lord over all the lesser creatures of the galaxy.

@spidey8vader The same reason he wanted to refuse Anakin. His emotions were just too out of control by the time he was exposed to the force. He was unlikely to attain the self-control necessary to stay on the disciplined path of the Jedi. That makes him just as much a liability and a risk as a potential hero.

I often imagin Yoda guiding me through situations. LOL When its difficult I think "What would Yoda say now?" Mostely it works. In my opinion Luke could be replaced by some of our modern polititians in this scene. The words would fit exactly. Watch this scene and imagin Bush instead of Luke!
