This is a very dangerous situation. Might look cute & adorable, but deadly for the beautiful bird...I don't know why peeps risk their companion animals lives for a few minutes of glory on YouTube. :(

He is obviously right there with the cat, and not all cats will attack birds. It depends on the temper of the cat... I used to have cats and dogs are would play with rats without hurting them. :) the cat must have obviously been quite used to the bird.

Cats mouths are especially dangerous, as they harbor the Pasturella bacteria, which is extremely hazardous. Infection from the saliva of a mammal has been listed as #5 on the Top Ten Bird Killers list. All this bird would have to do to be infected is lick its own foot after the cat licked it. This is risking the bird's life.

Cats have Pasteurella bacteria that does THEM no harm. But it is DEADLY to birds. Even if your cat just bats your bird or gets saliva on your bird, you could end up with a dead bird. You should get your bird to a vet the same day if you think it has come in physical contact with a cat's saliva, feces, or food. This bacteria means even friendly relationships between cats and birds are not safe. Period.

How sweet.. and the kitty is reciprocating by cleaning the birds claws. Cats tend to clean those they care for.
