What's the idea behind foldable screens? If you can run an input device into it, then why not have unlimited pages outputted on one screen only? Wouldn't that be more efficient since they're going compact? Still want one though...

Most of the OLEDs coming out are just concept. What they are showing is the ability to have multiple screen in such a compact area. This saves room for whatever else needs to be inside. For a phone as an example, it could literally be about 1 mm thick and have more functionality than the best of what we got today. Plus these screens run off of minimal power use. your Cell phone could go for weeks on end without a charge.

I was unimpressed untill I saw it fold completly in half. Then, WOW! Flexible displays are nothing new, but there is a huge difference between a flexible display, and a folding display. This technology is right around the corner, and I for one, and excited.

looool this actually kicks ass. but they could have made the screen on the inside just a tiny bit wider cos from here it looks 4:3 which isn't really what we're looking for nowdays... And also the outside screen looks nearly the same size, so i dunno.. still room for improvement! But it would be awsome to have a phone which unfolds to show a massive flexi screen :D

Leaving that thing shut in your pocket for extended periods of time has got to put a crease in that screen... Notice how they do not leave it shut for more than a fraction of a second? It is a cool idea, but I'm sure there will be problems with it or changes before it is finalized,

I'd bet that it still has a slight bend in the screen when closed, not quite folded like you'd crease a piece of paper.

Either way, anything like this actually hitting the market is a long ways off.
