The Nostalgia Critic review of this was fantastic. It made my day! This is a crappy movie that had a good soundtrack and scary ideas, but no follow-through. Plus Richard Burton, who I enjoy a lot. Not one of his better movies...XP

1. This is not music they would put in a horror movie let alone put it in a typical horror movie.

2. It sounds like WAAAAAAAAAAAA WAAAAAAAAAAAAAA WAAAAHHHHHHHHH WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

This sucked and so did the original Exorcist. When I first saw Exorcist when it was re released around 1999, older people like my parents and grandparents were telling me how badass it was when they saw it in the cinema originally in the 70's or whenever it was but shit it was scary 35 or so years ago but now its just laughable and the sequel was even worse! Just suckage. Some young people I meet now days say the original Exorcist is scary I just laff and ask if there serious.

It is a deeply flawed, but quite interesting film. It´s not on the same level as the first, but it´s still one of the most creative and intelectually stimulating horror films that came out of Hollywood during the 70´s. The thing is, it´s the total opposite of the first one, which takes a documentary-like approach, while goes for a trippy, dreamlike horror film. Some of the criticism this film gets could also be applied to the films of Lynch and Bunuel

Well as I said Legion wasn't terrible like this was. The problem with that was that it was more like CSI through 3/4 of the film. I guess it was hard to make this film because people had such high expectations that were difficult to meet. And you don't always know how a film will be until it hits theatres. The main thing is that they should have had a scarier voice for the demon, more disturbing images, and other things. Legion fixed some of the problems. But none o the films match the 1st.

Again as a horror it's bad though. Your laughing through alot of scenes. The script had some good points, it just didn't know how to follow up properly with them. But I feel bad for Linda Blair. Poor girl was trying, but thios kinda put a dent in her career for awhile.

It certainly has the power of keeping the viewer glued to the screen. It took everything from the original and turned it on its head. It was as if John Boorman sought to personally kill a franchise. He apparently hated the original film. The film has an appeal like that of a car accident. Though the musical score, particularly 'Regan's Theme' is breathtaking.
