I got the same scope for my dad,and saw your vid-thought id try to get a pic of my eye...Zero chance of that,hurt too much ,way too bright for me even on low light level.

I got this Veho yesterday, and I love it ! Couldn't wait to go get a woodlouse from the garden to video.... :) ..... (never knew how fast they could gallop around their glass dish neither!)... and copying you, I did my eye too, then read the instructions that said not to stare at the microscope lights - eeeek !!! But I can still see... :)

Worst £60 I ever spent (Delux version). This microscope has no optical zoom. It is basically a 20X magnifying glass attached to a webcam with digital zoom. Image quality is very poor with a lot of noise and dead pixels. A typical toy microscope has orders of magnitude more magnification and costs a lot less. If you or your kids want to see details that you can not see with the naked eye then do not buy the Veho. As a webcam the image is dark and jerky (slow) and the field of view very narrow.

why would you want to use it as a webcam? its for things close up..

and image quality is poor? focus it... and if yours has dead pixels you have a dodgy one man cause i have one and its brilliant! zoomed into some flies and saw disgusting detail :P
