a big thing in extra power for amateurs is get a good strung racket. the shuttle will go further for less effort. It helped me IMMENSELY.

fataljed... i think its just as important to have a good racket. Its funny how new players "dont need good rackets" but really just the weight of the racket can make a big difference. Having a heavy racket means you either have to have the strength to play normally or you are forced to compensate and eventually develop bad habits...

A good string and good racket make the difference. (The rest takes time... :P )
