hey i found this to be great actualy for an amature film, good fighting though it was way to slow and looked like mock fighting. I liked the location and tops on costume..

Great idea (although not original, of course) but the fight was way too slow and way too long, and that Ninja (per the script and choreography) was a terrible fighter. Also, The audience does not get to know who the hooded man is? And 697 years ago in Japan, was that supposed to be the same Ninja? Who shot the Pirate? The editing was okay, but the sound quality was even worse than the acting, which was sub-par. Good costumes and venues are about the only things I can compliment on this.

Ninja are masters of stealth and precision. That's all well and good but if you ever watch kung fu movies or pay attention to related culture Ninja are skinny while pirates are from a huskier breed and used to being out numbered. Even if he was not expecting it, if I attacked the pirates keen senses and balance would deliver him from a battle, Long range, throwing stars hurt but about as much as stabbing yourself in the foot, A gun would drop a ninja's skinny ass like a whiteboy in the ghetto

I agree one hundred percent, a ninja back in the time of the tokugawa and other ara's would normally abandon a mission if he were seen, because although their very agile, when it come's to hand to hand, they are very weak and easily outclassed at hand to hand, which is why they had many item's on them that could allow them to have an easy escape, while a pirate expected hand to hand, and enjoyed it, that's why you could normally see them from a mile away...

I'm ALL for the pirate winning, but this is unrealistic. In melee, a ninja would pwn him horribly, and much faster.

The pirate shouldve pulled a gun on him before evem approaching him, and he'd likely win pronto.

I wouldve like to have also seen some rapier/katana dueling.

Overall this is marvelous though.

Someone who has studied the martial arts can disarm a man with a gun before he even gets a chance to pull the triger. While it is true that pirates would have an advantage in terms of distance with the gun. However, in close combat the ninja would have the advantage. The pirate only has an advantage if he somehow sneaks up on the ninja which is very unlikely seeing that ninja's are masters of stealth.
