The core of the game will still be Tactical Espionage Action and "There will be a Metal Gear Solid sequel... At some point." As stated by Kojima himself. So calm down, and enjoy the game.

Let's not forget who killed FROG soldiers with lightning and no arms and who stopped Outer Haven, which is about the size of Arsenal Gear, if not a bit bigger. Plus, he killed Vamp, got stabbed a hundred times and killed a huge amount of Gekkos in a matte rof minutes. It's just that he was very elegant and cool here and in Revengeance, I don't know. We expected something else, I guess.
@chimjw the thing in Revengeance changed from an origin story to a Dynasty warriors game where all the enemies went from being smart to cliched/crappy/cannon fodder. It's not epic in the same sense as this. It's epic in how overdone they've made it.

Ultimately we will never know because Gray Fox was not developed as a fighter with currently existing technology, so we can only draw on information of the character that was presented back then

I find it interesting that a lot of Metal Gear Solid fans praise the series for its deep, complex characters. Yet in order for these same fans to start liking Raiden, Kojima had to take away his personality and depth and turn him into a shallow, emotionless generic anime superhero-type character. Doesn't really make sense if you think about it.
@CrimsonComedian19 If you think about it, Raiden actually has a little one up on Snake. In MGS2, Raiden's "mission" was basically one giant re-creation of Shadow Moses. Consider that when Solid Snake went to Shadow Moses, he was already a legend with tons of experience, but even he found it challenging. Yet Raiden, who had never had ANY experience, got through it.
It's kind of like a middle school math student having his first exam of the school year be on college-level calculus, and PASSING.

@MegaDreamer03 Gray Fox was a more highly trained, and seasoned warrior, the technical specifications of Raidens' suit were developed and perfected in Gray Fox, sans the psychological drawbacks of reviving Gray Fox from death.
Gray Fox would have mutilated Raiden in a straight fight, even as Lightning.
Ultimately we will never know because Gray Fox was not developed as a fighter with currently existing technology, so we can only draw on information of the character that was presented back then

I have posted this fact so many times, and it's like people just don't get it. xD The sound they are making is a bull. It's for intimidation. The muscle they have is all artificially grown, it's makes them more maneuverable than a robot would be. They also make the sound of a cicada to disorient their foes.

I find it interesting that a lot of Metal Gear Solid fans praise the series for its deep, complex characters. Yet in order for these same fans to start liking Raiden, Kojima had to take away his personality and depth and turn him into a shallow, emotionless generic anime superhero-type character. Doesn't really make sense if you think about it.

@CrimsonComedian19 If you think about it, Raiden actually has a little one up on Snake. In MGS2, Raiden's "mission" was basically one giant re-creation of Shadow Moses. Consider that when Solid Snake went to Shadow Moses, he was already a legend with tons of experience, but even he found it challenging. Yet Raiden, who had never had ANY experience, got through it.
It's kind of like a middle school math student having his first exam of the school year be on college-level calculus, and PASSING.
