  • OMG this guy plays like nothing I have heard... It was such a simple piece for piano when I was around 10 years old! I feel I want to dance with it! His musical expression is unparalleled. And they could not edit out mistakes in those days!

  • I love it so much!! This is so wonderful !!

  • how can someone create such a miracle of such a short and simple piece

    magic!!

  • i played this on my violin..

but not as smooth and sweet as this..

  • Kreisler recorded very little Bach so this is special.

  • One of the comments below suggests that this is a rare record.

  • He did, however, get into some controversy for attributing some of his own compositions as Bach's. Great violinist.

  • The method is simple and effective with no embellishments. The strings are sweet in texture and Kreisler conveys it's idiom completely.

  • You said it all - nothing to add.

  • Do you know the date of this recording? I can't find the site you gave me before.

  • It depends on the actual composer of this piece, Kreisler recorded several pieces referred to as menuet or minuet. If it is his arrangement of the menuet of a Haydn work, this is January 24, 1924, but I am unsure. To be rechecked!

  • It is Bach

  • Sounded more like Bach anyway - in that case it probably is the one made on August 29th, 1925. An early electric.

  • Yes It is an electrical recording as you say[at least it sounds like one to me] 1925 is the year of elelctrical recording introduction

  • rare record.
