@toretto666ify hey man! it's been a while haha. The hemp ply decks are from habitat skateboards right? If i ever get the chance i'll def do a review on them. Bamboosk8 tried to use hemp with their decks and they told me they didn't like it.

@toretto666ify I'm not sure. The guys from bamboosk8 just told me they were experimenting with them and didn't like how it turned out with their skate decks. The habitat decks are prob different i looked them up. Would be interesting to try out. The video you saw, i believe was with their 100% bamboo boards. They are still pretty tough to snap, but it can happen.

@airblade124 It is Indian, solely because my dad got it from India. But the knife is really just for show. The blade is really dull, and it's like some softer kind of metal. Just a fancy souviner thing.

@stephenzahorodny1 I find they are the best for the price. Ebay blanks are like half the price, but absolute crap. Blankdecks skateboards aren't good either. I don't like them, and bamboo is better. I skated 7 ply skateboards which weren't bad but they don't sell 10 packs anymore. Bamboo's 4th generation deck is also amazing, i'm skating it for the first time. I'll review it when i give it a good skating.

I kinda want to try one of these newer model bamboo decks, but I'd rather not pay for it since they snap so easily, even though they advertise them to be stronger than maple. John just destroyed another one today while skating flat. Bummer.

@anklepantsmagazine Their website says that the new decks are the best decks in the world according to those who have tried them. So i'm looking forward to testing that claim. There's a few instances where they snapped easily, the church gap with my new deck being one of them. Johns deck that he snapped was a back up old one i believe too. I've been skating my current one for a few months. I just wanna try the new one.

@SkateIslam John's broken at least three bamboo decks that I can remember - all within the past few months. I also remember a few other folks busted theirs right away - a few being on the first day of riding them. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

@anklepantsmagazine nah, he said the deck he snapped yesterday was from summer when he tried to ollie the kenwood bank. And the one he snapped before that was 3-4 months old. Phil broke his on the first day idk how lol. But maple decks still can snap on the first day. one of johns old decks also got run over by 3 cars and he still skated it. I looked at the new decks and it looks like they have 2 plys of bamboo on outside, and 4 maple on the inside.. interesting.

@SkateIslam So they are only 6-ply decks? Almost all decks have 7 plies. Maybe that has something to do with the breakage.

@anklepantsmagazine The old decks were 5 ply, and the original 100% bamboo deck was 3 ply. The bamboo plies are thicker. but afterall boards don't break themselves... people break boards.
