This is actually the most expensive video in history because they had to film the amusement park scene over and over again. They kept vomiting during takes:(
THROOOOOOOW BAAAACK! New York Hot Tracks! WOW! I used to stay up late friday nights to watch this! (May have been Saturday night). On a side note, that ride they were on looked like it was kicking their ass! lol! Great post!
It has Brasilian sensation "Pele" poster on the wall; this is from Beta/VHS crazy!
We have to believe that this rhythm of life will continue into the 21st century. This is what keeps us alive through recessions and everything - ate mais!
I was 15 years old when this song came out in 1985 & believe it or not this is my first time ever seeing this video. They played the song every day on the radio I knew who the singer was but never saw the video until I saw it on here. Thanks for posting it
Oh my stars, NY HOT TRAXX.. Jesse and Angie from all my children use to host this show late night friday nights.. lololol... woooooooow... I was 10 .. this shit is wild man...lolool
When I was 14 years old I took my whole allowance for the week (15 dollars ) and bought this album... I played this song over and over so much that my whole household was singing and vibin off it....
This is my fukkin song!!! Bernard sung this shit outta this jawnt!! Makes me wanna get some leg warmers and a terry cloth hadband!! Damn I miss back in the day!!
Man you taking me back to NYC..,. Latin Quaters... clubbin was about dancing, dressing, and just being F.R.E.S.H.... not to mention some of the finest ladies ever
OMG!!!!!!Memories, man !!!! I used to love this song when I was nine years old!!!! Thanks for posting that!!! Dammit man, dammit!!! Time flies. Music used to be happy and enriched with love!!! Now this shit has went to hell.
Actually BET and Video Soul came out a few years before NY Hot Tracks, but it was'nt nationally available to all of the US, especially if you did'nt have cable (which was a luxury in the 1980s). BET showed videos as early as 1980 by Michael Jackson, Shalamar, Lakeside, Earth Wind & Fire (Video Soul's first video was "Lets Groove"), Rick James, Junior Giscombe, Diana Ross, Ray Parker Jr, Prince, Stephanie Mills,Kool & The Gang and some more.
LL Cool J sampled this in the '90s. I saw somwhere they said the spinning was done with a barrel and camera setup, but I don't know what that is. Can anybody elaborate?
Funny but I'm happy to see that I'm not the only one who kept my "Vcr" tapes of HOT TRAXX! Hours of a great way to spend a satyrday night. Must post vids some day.
what a timeless hit ,yes this was the shit .i still love this song .2=Pac did this track on Pac's life still another great hit in it self.what a cool video thanks 4 the post.bring em back.the real music.
oh my goodness i remember this video like it just came out yesterday. i loved the part when they were bumping all into the walls, that was so awesome to me lol i loved this song when i was little
Damn! I remember NY Hot Tracks when I was a preteen! I remember Bernard Wright, where is he now? This was the song back then. Didn't Total did this w/LL Cool J on his song?
Before there was VIDEO MUSIC BOX, MTV, BET, there was HOT TRACKS! I remember this and I definetly remember this song. Creativity was used back in the day because we didn't have the fancy camera tricks then so, when they rolled around on the sidewalk on que from the song, you have to admitt that they were very creative.
this guy is great..very talented, part of an impressive group of musicians he came up with..i don't know whatever happend to him..but i would sure like to hear what he is doing now..drop something on the world Benard..
Actually you're partially. It is Loungin' BUT if you remeber a group called Shades back in 96' They made a song called "Tell Me" (I'll be Around). It sounds more like it.
