  • OMFG!!! awesome!!!!

  • I have only one word for this: Y-E-S !

  • First of all, I must say, this is the best VRC6 remix of any Zelda song I've heard. I've heard plenty of covers and remixes of Zelda music, but rarely any good ones. The use of the sawtooth, VRC6 Square 1 and Square 2 and the addition of PCM samples was really nice. I also must admit that I didn't like the Link's Awakening part at first as it seemed out-of-place, but now I've learned to appreciate it as LA was my first Zelda game too, haha!

Overall, I really like this. Keep it up!

  • levus, you are a genius

  • Extremely well done. You couldn't have mixed together the original theme and the one from Link's Awakening any better, and nothing sounds crowded or like the tracks are competing with each other, even though you're using VRC6. Favorited.

  • @RossIrving Only channel that has any problems is the Triangle channel but I generally find that to be the most useless channel anyway.

  • You know, you can export it to midi and wav, if you gave us a download link for midi...

  • wait! why is this like the orginal? also i mean is this a program that use the SNES sound sample?

  • @Tronnus I don't understand your question entirely.

It's using a VRC6 expension chip which was used in famicom games. The famicom is essentially the Japanese version of the NES, main difference being you can add sound expansions into the carts I believe. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong anyone.

Look up the music for the Famicom version of Castlevania 3. It's one of the more notable examples of a game utilizing the VRC6 expansion chip.

  • @Levus28 ok now I understand it. Thank you =D

  • Can you upload it to mediafire?

Mega Upload got shut down by the feds.

  • Ah finally someone who knows something about famitracker. .__.

  • 0 dislikes

  • Damn you VRC6 (fist shake) Why weren't you there to make my childhood sound like this!

  • Anyone ready to hack this into LOZ?

  • holy shit

  • this is pretty great. I love that you included the Link's Awakening section.

  • @levus28 are you not making songs anymore? I was hoping to hear a nintendo in general techno melody styled like the banjo kazooie one :P

  • WIN

  • Sir, I am pleased to inform you that you have been elected president of the Internet.

  • ::drops a silver Rupee in the tip jar

  • Holy shit cock. This song retroactively turned all my bad life experiences into good ones. This is super ridiculously fantastic, oh my god~ <3

  • What's The Sawtooth ?

  • @Mrcarzylegoguy

It is what is it is, a wave shaped like a Saw. It's part of the VRC6 expansion.

  • MP3 pweety pweety pweese :3

  • >download the fmt

    still awesome!!!!1

  • Awesome

  • This should've been in Four Swords.

  • I could pretty much listen to this over and over again for the rest of the day.

  • This is so awesome..

The bass head in me wants more kick with the sawtooth though..

  • Dude you should send this into nintendo. You could get paid. A lot.

  • This is awesome!

  • so fucking epic !

  • Oh, you might want to check your metadata on the raw files. Your name is spelled "Levs" in both the FamiTracker and NSF files.

  • @cat333pokemon Well when I manage to upload them to solidfiles, they'll be fixed. Thanks for letting me know.

  • "This video has been added to your Favorites."

And you already know how picky I am with those. Rockin', Levus!

  • This has got to be the best Zelda remix I've ever heard. You should do more.

I like the fact that you've basically remade the song(s) in the 2A03 tracks, and the VR6 tracks build on it.

  • I don't want to be needy, but would it be possible to get an mp3 download link for this? :)

  • Delicious to the mind.

  • I still love you Levus

  • The megaupload links don't seem to be working

  • @dukkySM64 o nvm it is now

  • KICKS ZELDAS ASS :O

    umm.. Links ass :O

  • Awesome !

  • This is brilliant!

  • :D Nice arpeggios and DAT bass :D

  • Actually, this isn't an nes remix. This is a GB remix. From link's awakening ;D

  • @Sonoskeakigawa

    it's both mixed together

  • @Sonoskeakigawa Actually I just mixed in the Link's Awakening Overworld theme later on into. The is in the key signature of the NES version, the GB version is 3 semitones lower.

  • Fantastic dude, wow. This is addicting to listen to O_o

  • THIS IS THE BEST THING EVER

  • THIS IS THE SINGLE BEST ZELDA RELATED SONG I HAVE EVER HEARD IN MY LIFE.

  • Oh my fuck you mixed in the Link's Awakening Overworld I love you.

  • *faints*

  • Do you know of any good equivalents for Macs?

  • @RyonnAeonn Well, it's not exactly the same but, there's Milky Tracker. Only problem is that it's a bit more difficult to use. You'll have to look up some tutorials.

  • @RyonnAeonn If you have an intel mac, you could run Famitracker in Wine

  • AN NES REMIX

    USING AN NES CHIP

    IT'S BEYOND THE IMMPOSSIBRU!

... WHERE DID I PUT MY CAPS LOCK KEY?

  • FUCKING GLORIOUS

  • cool. I see Famitracker is your new favorite composing program.

  • @Levus28 Any chance you could also do that with the Deus Ex one while you're about it?

  • THIS IS SO FUCKING EPIC

    GGRGRGRRAAAAAHAHHAHAHHHGH

  • That was more epic than theArt Style: PiCTOBITS remix.

  • this is my favorite remix of the main theme ever, i think <3

  • an 8-bit remix of an 8-bit song my mind is blown o.O

  • Consider your Zelda Tributes paid in full.

  • This is really nice, Levus! Your instrument choice lends itself well to the style of this arrangement, and the compound beat gives it this upbeat march kinda feel.

    I like it.

  • Sounds a lot more like the Tetris DS version this way.

  • This is the highlight of my day

  • i lurve it
