It never ceases to amaze me how completely untalented fools like Brittany Spears and Ashley Simpson continue to make millions pouring their dribble over the heads of teenagers the world over, but brilliant masters like Desiderio stay relatively unknown to the gray matter of society.
This is superb virtuosic playing. amazing tone and rhythmic control. Should get more money than david beckham and respect. I dont like classical music but i can appreciate this. All his videos are brilliant. Top class player.
Aniello Desiderio é um dos mais expressivos e competentes violonistas do mundo, quer se considerem os discípulos famosos de Andrés Segovia, como John Williams ou Julian Bream. É fabuloso.
@HailTheAncientOfDays I think it's 1st and 3rd. Pinkie and 3rd kind of move together, often. He may choose 1st and 3rd rather than 1st and 2nd because of the relative finger lengths. My 1st and 3rd are of similar length. 2nd is longer. It's awkward. There is some variety in how men approach this, because different men have different relative finger lengths. Also, 1st and thumb are awkward for me and some others. I play thumb and 2nd often.
Paginini sold his soul to the devil to compose such devastatingly beautiful music..A. Desiderio sold his soul to the devil to get the skills to play Paginini's devastatingly beautiful music which Paginini composed after selling his soul to the devil PERI
I have the Andres D. Marvi guitar from Aniello Desiderio. Which He use to perform and record. If you are interested in this instrument pleas contact me
malsteen is still good he was probably amazing at classical but he was around the times of trying to create sometihng new with old and he did that quite well.. this guy here is a diffrent level alltogether then most guitarists. He probably a well disciplined perfectionist thats shares amazing sounds while malsteen was looking to make money... all im saying is malsteen was still fucking amazing his shit was rough and creative. This guy the most amazing machine i cant get enough
There are millions of people out there who really believe that Malmsteen on a classical guitar is hard to beat, after listening to Desiderio you have to consider that to be the best joke in guitarland or what?
ya i used to play malmsteen and DT, and thought i was the shit untill i realized these guys would still laugh at me for playing my guitar like a violin (single notes at a time). lol youre right this guy does look like Mike Portnoy!!! thats hillarious. id like to see portnoy play percussion for Aniello!
esta muy bueno, queria tocar neoclasico con power metal pero pirmero me dedicare a la guitarra acustica, clasica y criollo :D y huayno :D (un peruano)
There's sure plenty of room. I like Malmsteen myself. But still, even at his own genre he is not even close to Desiderio's level. What's a plonker, anyway?
Segovia onced said sometimes it's necessary to disregard the rhythm (at certain juncture) to capture the spirit of the song. Undoubtedly, it's so so true. It separated from those guitarists who're too mechanistic/'metronomical' in their playing which makes the songs they played felt dry/flat.
Anatomically m and a are "tethered" together in a tendon sheath so it's very difficult to run with these two fingers. The i finger does not have this confinement, so it can be used with either m or a with much "free way". However, i and a are better for fast run, at least anatomically and especially for people who keep the right hand fingers relatively perpendicular to the strings, because the i - a pair have less difference in length than the i - m pair. kt
good answer! this is very true, but it fascinates me how flamenco players eg paco de lucia can play runs as fast as is humanly possible using i-m, and keeping the right hand very perpendicular to the strings.
I agree. Their speed is amazing. When using i-m pair they just need to bend the m's PIP joint a bit more than they would the a's when they use the i-a pair. If their nails are straight, this doesn't matter because i is very independent from a or m.

More precisely, I think he misinterprets and exagerates the rythmical pattern of this piece. But all Italians seem to have their temperamental ideas (not always the most inspired), about how to play Paganini :-)
Which doesn't mean to say that Aniello Desiderio is not one of the greatest contemporary guitarists--there are critical comments which are not intended to disparage their target but to bring up a less than perfect facet of an otherwise admirable personality; after all none is perfect but God.
