Pretty good advice - especially the idea of bringing a change of gear in a carry-on. I once got parted from all my clothes for 3 days while on a trip to Honduras. Never repeated that mistake again:)

Thank you for this excellent video. As a hotel owner in an international city, I find this information of importance. It's always great to use a 3 day search variance on kayak, or such sites being flexible on flight reservations, really can reduce costs considerably by hundreds or thousands of dollars.

Why not save on accommoadation by staying in a convent or a monastery. These days, thousands of them offer tourists cheap, clean, safe and well-located acccommodation. Especially in Europe and the UK - even in Australia!

After watching these basic travel tips, I would like to suggest them checking out a unique travel information site. Flights, hotels, cruises, etc. you name it they got it, and it's real travel tips. No harm in trying, no scam, been saving me lots of spending money. It's called something like screwtheairlines with a dot com and add ?screwair6 in the end.

2. You never ever ever carry cash on you on any trip requiring a carry-on bag and a plane. You get travelers cheques from your bank. They're trackable and replaceable if lost or stolen. Your cash isn't.

@shadowmatrix0101 travellers cheques are a great way to make money for the bank, a huge myth that they are needed now we have bank cards and credit cards with zero comission. Of course you carry cash on the plane so you can do things as soon as you arrive! Imagine arriving and immedeatley nowhere to cash a travellers chq, not knowing what the notes look like and needing food, drink, bus, taxi, hotel, hostal, medication. Cash should be kept on the person not in bags and not in an outside pocket.
