  • I've set my netbook up as a small gaming system. It started out as a cheap $150 refurbished Acer D257, however, after upgrading the RAM to 2GB, and the hard disk to 500GB, and installing Ubuntu 11.10, it really plays games well considering its small CPU! I wish the netbook was compatible with XP, but driver support with Acer is bad.

  • thx.

i'll follow ur setting for PSone n n64 setting for my MSI wind u100 plus.

  • @terryforever84 np :) You may run into trouble with 2D games such as Lunar TSSS. The solution is as simple as changing your video driver to a software driver.

  • does toads tool work on this netbook?

  • @power2cube Toads tool works, but it's pretty slow panning. The window is almost too big for the screen. I had to lower the Start menu, but I could see the whole window.

  • You should download Emu Control Center, the best front end I have ever seen and simple to use. Nice video, I might need to pick up a netbook because my USB ports stop working on here and its not software related.... HP DV2000

  • Yeah I know. I managed to get Easy Peasy installed with unetbootin and an SD card. There are other distros I'd rather have, but that will do until i get a DVD burner.

  • i can play all these games on my psp (even super mario 64, but it has no sound ._.) with gaming keys.

but to be honest - the psp keys suck. mostly at street fighter 2...
