Who else can come up with this master piece other than Ilayaraja. Such a classic folk song with awesong orchestration. Anu Malik actually did justice by bringing in the original song into this remake version of Thevar Magan.

I am sorry but I disagree, Bollywood movies are not only seen by hindi speakers. In UK if you go and see a Bollywood movie in the cinemas then you will see loads of white people watching the movie. Also Arabs, Russians, Malaysians, Brazilians, Africans they all love Bollywood and they are not speakers of hindi.

It is true that Payalay Chunmun Chunmun is a beautiful song, and it got National Awards. But it is very sad that the Original version by Ilayaraja did not get any awards, only the copied version got awards. Very strange.

Tabu's best movie and best performance is Verasat. I saw the movie last night again, and I laughed so much in every scene she did. Her acting as a simple village girl was amazing. No other actresses could perform in this roll the way she did. The movie is worth watching 'cause of Tabu and 2 songs, this one and the 1st song in the movie
